Can i put on SE or SS dyes that modify INT ? (+ or -)

No. Most go for +4 WIT -4 MEN, +4 CON -4 STR... some do +4 DEX -4 STR for run speed.

I have +8 WIT - 10 MEN(plan to exchange them for +4-4.. when I have the AA).
I'll add a +4CON -4 STR later... as well.

Yup that set is good:)))) or You can get another wit instead of the dex if you still feel like your casting slow maybe a 3 -3 or a 2-2 wit prably shouldn't get another 4-4 one tho cause youll reduce the men a little to much. I likey all the mana I can get ya know >.<.

+8 int????? that's just like the most useless answer (lie) I've ever read.
To the OP, my SE has been doing great with +4WIT-5MEN, +4CON-5STR and +4DEX-5STR (why -5?? because it's way cheaper, easier to get in any magic shop and u cannot even notice the difference, honestly). Dark Elves already have a good base INT, so when you get in INQ mode you will 2 shot every normal mob around your level with bss. Also if you can get a stick of eternity or another wpn that has Bless the Body, you can get that extra buff from the wpn's SA ^^

That is a lie, you can only have max +4 wit, -6 men, +1 wit, -3 men which is
+5 wit, -9 men or best, +5 wit, -5 men, but me cause +1 -1 is a waste of a spot

You can only increase a stat by 5 max, but you can decrease a stat by as much as you want.
+5 WIT is max you can have. Any other +WIT must come from gear set bonus, or weapon augmentation.
Surrender doesn't make up for the lack of +INT. You still do less damage on mobs that are neutral to elemental magic as an elemental nuker who surrenders and has the same level of gear as you do. Surrender costs about as much as a nuke, so it is largely useless in PvE, TBH.

As I said before.. I had forgotten that max stat increase was 5.. so I redid dyes yesterday.
It's now on +4 WIT -5 MEN.

I love the -4Str +4Con on my SE. That extra hp and stun resist really helps when I level her on the undeads near dev castle.

Surrender is useless in pve (and often in pvp) now, that is true. They do get holy weapon, which (before 100+ maces) helps, but probably isn't as good as having +4 INT. However, on a buffer that used to have to get parties to XP, you can't really complain that much.

A lot will tell you to go +4 Wit (-4 Men) but that's up to you. I would recommend getting a +4 Con (-5 Str) as the standard, and giving yourself +4 Dex (-5 Str) is also a good choice.

WIT is casting speed. Dark Elves already have lower WIT than any other race. WIT is needed unless you're a buffbot, and I think most buffbots want to buff/heal faster :)
I have +4 WIT/CON/DEX -10 STR/-4 MEN on mine.
WIT isn't really optional and there is no other useful stat to increase on an SE unless you are nerfing you WIT, which is very LOL.
You already have CON and DEX (-STR), so it's useless to go STR.
Casting Speed > the amount of M.Def you lose from going -4/5 MEN.
WIT is compulsory, not optional. Only optional if you don't know what you're doing, or talking about ;)

I need a recharger,not a buffer,so finally after lots of combinations(+4 WIT,SA mana up)i ended to this:
majestic robe set,+5 CON +4DEX -12STR,SA acumen
It hasn't to do with m.def,but mostly with max MP & and MP regenaration,and trust it works fine for me.
A good set up is also +4wit,sa mana up,but this only increase the max mp of your toon,not the mp regenaration,wich i think is most important for a recharger.

But the more max mana you have, the more herbs give you.

There is no excuse of justification for it, either.
Everything you mentioned (MP Regen ESPECIALLY) is non-factor.
This setup is horrible, and you should change it to what pretty much every other Buffer/Recharger has ASAP.
And no +WIT is the worst setup for someone who "wants a recharger". I hope that post is a joke.
Recharge is highly effective on classes with HMG passives (Nukers, and Summoners get some levels of it). There is no reason to cry about maybe 40 MP or some crap, when you're using 130 MP to recharge a same level nuker for 205. Just... Stop...

Well, it depends on where you're leveling, and the function it provides.
I do think that Rechargers need +4 WIT and +Mana Robe Sets, but Blue Wolf is fine for most of them. If you are leveling in very difficult places, or where mobs AE stun, then maybe Majestic is Justified. I know that BW Robes is slightly more casting speed than Majestic, and the MP Increase from BW to Majestic doesn't really justify the cost in upgrading.
With +4 WIT and BW Robes, an SE casts fast enough, but I think I would die if I didn't have +4 WIT on mine. It would be so slow, like leveling without any Acumen buff on it. That only works if you have an Acumen weapon, and for someone who only "needs a recharger" to be running one with an Acumen Weapon and no +4 WIT tatoo... It just defeats the purpose. My SE has a Conversion Homu unless I am leveling in very risky places, or in a party. Those Monestary Guardians in MOS are ******ed, ya know.
You can get a Palaika shirt on the SE and pretty much that will negate the MP lost from -4 MEN. There is no reason to worry about MP Regeneration. Keep the SE in walk mode if you have a Zerk buffer, or use that cheap Talisman that cost 12k.
Tallum is same c.spd as DC Robes and works fine too, when you need the P.Def and in place like FoTD where mobs love to try to bleed your buffers, or nuke/drain them :P

Well, my SK is just a sub from a Arcana lord/Eva saint, so since she isnt using her maj robe atm I just put it on my EE. I figured I would at some point do mobs that stun, but atm I'm doing bleed mobs with his Tallum in his wh lol.
When I do catacombs I usually do the stun areas though, since the bots on my server never occupy those rooms, and the stunners also seem to drop more seal stones than the other mobs.

Yea, since NCSoft revamed the Poison and Bleed the mobs that do those drain HP rather fast. I might trade my Maj LA set for a Tallum Robe set for that reason (the M.Def and Bleed Resist/Poison Resist). I don't ususally do stun mobs, since I have all mystic toons. Was thinking about saving the Maj LA set for my OL's sub (might do HE on it), though. Friend gave it to me to sell for some adena, since I'm poor. Lol.

Just do +WIT-MEN at least... if you are running out of mana with herbs, then you are doing something wrong. If you don't get herbs, then GL hunting in a hard area with your SEs 700 heals that cast at 600 casting speed.

Lol, that is what I was thinking.
I like to level in challenging/risky places. It makes grinding less boring.
The casting speed of an Acumen Robes, Mana Up Staff SE with no +WIT tatoo is just too horrible to even keep up with Death Spike MP consumption. I will spend half my time standing in one area recharging myself with the SE, cause the MP/sec from recharge will be horrible... My SPS sub would just cry...

I need 3 hits (average) to kill a 82-85 lvl mob....that means 3x69mp=207 mp
My SE gives me 217mp per recharge and it cost to her 130mp if i remember right
That means that she is able to almost full charge me 2 times in a place with no herbs,before she runs out of MP(remember no clear mind passive for SE)
She just sits down in a corner , and when i run out of MP,i make a smoke and i recharge my self
And yes,dual box,i don't need a clan for my xp,or to farm adena,i am in a descent lvl and i can earn enough adena per day from drops.Ohhhh, i almost forgot it....i craft my AM (yes lucky me,1st attempt and success,i craft my tateo set 4/5 jewels at 1st attempt,and i got the recs from quests)

I use avadon set, homu acu and shop magic haste potions and I'm fine. I barely get touched in fotD and when I'm lucky with herb drops I can grind for as long as I have bssc. It's a pain in the *** when you don't get any herb drops, but then talismans help a little bit.

Why does it still say this on the NCSoft's L2 website on tats:
"The amount that can be increased from symbols for a single basic ability value cannot be more than +5. For example, if two symbols cause STR to increase by +3 and +4 respectively, the total increase of STR cannot exceed +5. There is no limit to the reduction in values, but it is not possible to reduce an ability value all the way to zero. "
The only reason I ask is it used to be +7 and now if I read right everyone seems to have it +8...
So we can really +8 an attribute now?
