I'm coming up to S grade on my OL and I'm starting to wonder if S grade is worth shelling out for.
The way I see it, I can go one of 3 ways.
MA robes, AM (acu) = high matk, normal cast speed
DC robes, AM (acu) = low matk, 750+ cast speed self buffed
DC robes, AM (mana up) = low matk, normal cast speed +~700mp
I'm not trying to cheap my way through, just trying to find the best PvP support build for my clan seeing as they've been so good at levelling me.
What I really want to ask those who've been there and done it; is the MA robe set worth the adena?

look to the future, friend.
your refresh rates and cast times are changing for many-a-skill, and youre getting a bunch of new stuff to spend SP on.
if i had to choose a utility build for OL given the changes coming, i'd say the faster you can regen mana the better. that means shallow MP pool. thats also very dangerous.
it really is a pickle. however, stick to Acumen. whatever the robe choice, stick to Acumen.

Speaking from experience, you are going to need those arcana robes for one major reason: resists. You can put elemental stones on there that will save your life. Our drains aren't an offense at all anymore, but we can mitigate the insane damage of elemental stones by having high resists.
You want a few arcana maces with acumen, a drac bow with focus and an angel slayer with crit damage. Put 150 element x on the bow and dagger, and keep augmenting the arcana maces till you get an elemental based nuke. Then toss 150 of that element on the maces. You'll need 3 to chain nuke, but if youc an accomplish this, at level 80 with the new chronicle you should be able to stomp on some people =)
I know it's a lot of money but that's what OL's need to succeed in pvp these days. Till then you are a very slow clan cp potion that can buff the mages pretty well. Don't expect to clear people spamming drains, save that for your damage dealers. Your job is going to be Flames of Invincibility at the right time in the high end, and supplying cp healing support.
