So I just got this game, and hit lvl20, and in "endgame" I want to be a dps class, that can use 2handed Swords. Im a human fighter of course, so which path would be best for me, as I am confused, since dreadnoughts use polearms, but I want to use a 2 handed SWORD.

If all else fails I guess I have to do this subclass thingy, and which subclass would be best for 2handed swords as I am not willing to reroll :D.

There is no huma fighter that uses 2h sword. If you want to be a high mellee dps class with 2h sword you should go Orc Destroyer-Titan.

On the other hand a very good class is the gladiator. They use dual swords and rely mostly on very high dmge skills, good pdef and good hp.

For a new player I think the Destroyer is easier to play, but gladiator is also fun.

Sub is a long, long way ahead of you.

Yeah you're gonna have to sub a Destroyer if you want to use 2 handed, not counting vanguard stance on some tanks there are no human classes that uses 2 handed. Destroyer is the ONLY class to use the 2 handed swords with efficiency. Ofcourse any other class can use it but destroyers excells them easily and early on.
As for duelist its a fun and tricky enough class to keep myself interested. I like him alot, mostly cause i dont enjoy those "easy to play" classes or the "i hit button, i win" classes, lol. Duelists are moderately strong in PvE, can semi tank and be DD at the same time, with medium bordering to high HP and medium p.def (for heavy armor classes) there's not much you can't do :D
A word of warning about the Gladdie class though. Don't expect to get much stronger until atleast until its around lvl 60ish, thats a class that evolves "late" in the game compared to many other classes and you might get disapointed at first.

Being a glady you should know more, but does not the Glady get double sonice slash at 49 (second best skill) and triple sonic slash at 55 (best dmge skill, can crit for ultra high dmge)?

So although he gets more powerfull with every lvl, at lvl 49 he has good power and at lvl 55 even more.

If you want the look of the 2 handed sword, destro is the way... Dual swords... glady, and ofc don't forget the Berserker... They use 2 handed swords (but in 1 hand ^^) and they hit incredibly strong. Right now, imo, the most powerful class of all, they can hit like a destro, or maybe do more damage. Low cown though, but a REALLY fun class to play ^^

Yeah they get dss at 49 and tss at 55 and thats the end of new damage skills until 78, they just grow from there. How hard a gladdies skill hits depends the 2 biggest factors are 1 how many sonic charges you can have loaded and you dont reach your max capacity until 70ish with your 7th charge and your second level of duelist spirit. (there is one more at 79 but it didn't always exist so i'm not counting it) 2 What your p.atk is at. Ofcourse a higher level tss skill hits harder than the lower level of tss too but sonic charges and p.atk matters the most.
Skillcrits works like this: the rate of which you can crit depends on your STR stat, more = higher rates (and dmg since it increases p.atk, lol) but the gladdie skill crits are only 2x stronger a normal hit. 3k normal turns into 6k though so its not that bad but still it would be nice if there were some buffs that affected crit power atleast a little bit xD

lol i guess i overkilled the answer to you Galendal, sorry, but essentially, yes they do get their skills at those levels you mentioned and ALL their sonic skills can crit too :)

Wrong.

Paladins (and Temple Knights) can use 2 Handed Swords when in Vanguard state.

Its a transformation state that is more offensive and deals more DPS that when using Sword/Blunt and Shield. Still the character's nature is still defensive.
I never see any Tank PvPing in Vanguard state. Its purely for xp.
