Cheap Destroyer B Grade

Any advice to be had for a new destroyer just making his way to B grade? I've been using top C commons so far, but as I'm farming AA and manoring in the catas I have my doubts that it'll be able to take me all the way to A grade.

So what's my best bet? Hitting player shops for B grade commons? Luxury shop in Giran? OE'ing some C grade? (I wanted to wait until A grade before using my few funds on anything decent...)

I took a TH to A grade using a common C grade dagger. Also a Tyrant . My Pallie is 58 i believe and still uses D grade weapon with Academy Armour.
My summoner 56 uses D grade Armour and weapon.

Greens (mobs) are your friends :-p

D grade weapon at level 58? Is it at least OE'd? Even still I doubt it's that effective.
Maybe a nuker can do it with a lower grade robe set, but melee's require greater pdef (heavy armor classes) so using d grade on level 55+ mobs wouldnt work too well. It must've taken you a long time to get those lower geared toons that high.

Anyways, the cheapest way would be to get a Great Sword w/ focus and Avadon or Zubei heavy, all of which can be bought from the NPC or luxury shops. No need to spend 50-60mil on top b grade armor and 80mil+ for a top b grade weapon when you'll blow by 52-61 with ease. If you like using Blunt weapons more so than 2handed swords go with an Ice Storm Hammer which can be bought from the luxury shop aswell, then put focus on that. Matter of fact you really don't get anything good till level 61 when ya get Crush of Doom so go with the Ice Storm Hammer as you can use Hammer Crush.

Thanks Hellrazah. That's pretty much exactly what I was going to do. Just didn't know if there was a better option. DrTurp may be able to survive in C/D grade until A grade, but I don't have the patience. (I also don't have the bankroll to heavily OE my stuff like he probably does. :rolleyes:)
