Hi, I just started an Orc Mage > Warcryer and its been awhile since I worked this class. There seem to be some nice changes in the skills, but I have questions I haven't been able to work out so far. Currently at level 34.

I recognize the buffs as affecting whole party and some skills also, but am wondering about damage skills. Some are described as tho affecting more than the targeted mob. So far I haven't seen any effect. How close together do the mobs need to be? How close does my Orc need to be? Some seem to duplicate the same skill.

What's the diff between Chill Flame and Frost Flame, aside from mp cost and damage? (Love these!) Blaze Quake is described in the same terms but doesn't seem to do diddly.
I created a macro that does frost flame, then delays 5 sec before she attacks with weapon. Saves shot and they are down in a couple of strokes.

Some of the spells don't seem to do anything -- like the Binding (Hold) spell, Madness, Chaos -- are these of the type that improve with level?

Thanks

sorry man, but I see a lot of confusion here ^^

that's not your fault, but you can easely work out all of your doubts just checking the complete skills list of your char in L2 official site > library

The fact is that: since you are an orc shaman, you can choose between 2 different classes for your second class transfer: Overlord and Warcryer. Untill 40 you have to possibility to learn the skills of both of them, after the class transfer you will not.

Skills like Dreaming Spirit, Madness, Fear etc. are skills that work on single mob. You can learn them if you are a WC or an OL. If you use them of mobs that are 5-6 lvls higher than you, prolly you will not see any effects, 'cause the land rate of this skills are too low in that situations. Try them on white or green mobs ;)

Skills named "Seal of Something" (for example Seal of Binding) are exclusive OL skills, so you can learn just the lowest lvl of this skills, if you are gonna make a WC. This kind of skills are attack skills or debuffs that work on multiple mobs near your character. Again, a low lvl skills will hardly land on high lvl mobs.

As you said, some skills looks quiet the same. True. For example you will learn Life Drain untill 35. From 40+ this skill will be replaced by a new one called Steal Essence. They are the same, just a change of name and graphic.

:)
