Server maintenance for Tuesday, 12/15 has been extended at this time. All servers will be down for an additional amount of time today. I will post an announcement as soon as we have an ETA for the servers coming back up.

Have you ever considered adopting the Mainstream IT system for estimates?
ie. if you believe it will take one hour, estimate two.
This increases for each additional hour. For example, this is a list of internal estimates and publically released estimates I would give to people;
1 hour / 2 hours
2 hours / 3.5 hours
3 hours / 5 hours
4 hours / 6 hours
5 hours / 8 hours
6 hours+ / 1 day
12 hours+ / 2 days
I highly recommend it. Everyone will always believe you're usually fast an efficient! Then on the odd occasion you exceed the estimates, noone really cares.

that crap some airlines do. flight from berlin to london takes 2,5 hours in their schedule... well we started 1:10 hours after estimated take off and still we 15 minutes to early in london...WOW!

It says on the official L2 site all servers back up but I cant login. Can anyone confirm if theyre up or not now please ?

Server going down and up randomly each minute :D
My eye focussed on the high ping of the euro servers. Since i am living in Europe, they are normally low as 3 till 10ms, and the NA server high with pings which have the Euro server now have at this moment. Weird. I dont hope we got a lagg-festival when we login ;)
The ping that page displays is from the location of that web sites server, not from your location.

When you go to the status page of that site, they giving the pings from my location to those servers. Not from that site to the servers.
I can check this even with NSlookup/Ping and a traceroute.

just skip all this and tell ppl it will be back up in a GAMER MINUTE. that's soemthing ppl can understand!!
for those who dont a gamer minute is however long it takes for the gamer to finish what their doing (i.e. anywhere from 10 mintues to 10 hours)

Thats why i am saying "Weird" because all pings are switched when the server came slowly up again. Normally i have on that site good measurements of the pings. Low pings for Euro, and highs ping for NA. :)

euro server are located in euro so if ping will be from ur loc shoud be less then 100
login server is still in US
btw me in poland has too 2ms to bartz on that page :P and its impossible :P
There is no way that I (in Australia) have 2ms ping to ANYTHING outside of Australia. We are the proud Commonwealth of Australia, with the worst internet access speeds in the entire developed world.
