Unable to post in the new player section so excuse me.
I played lineage a very long time ago when the beta was out but i haven't really done much since then. (a heavy GW and WOW player) so i was wondering what the game is currently like now? got myself the 14 day trial to have a poke around but no doubt a few days of that will go on patching :p
I used to play a healer, SE / BISH so any advice on classes / current state of the game let me know thanks!

still the best healers around, although Sleep isnt as useful as it once was, and youll need to get to 79 on both characters before you see any real healing action.

Bishop is still the best healer class.
And were you get level 79 from Spudnik?

Welcome back!
Cardinals rock. The game, as you expect, has matured. They have added immense amounts of new content so you will have quite a bit of learning to do. Most old time players are either 80+ or close to it, so a lot of the action is at that level now.
Politically things on most servers have shaken out to where there are less meaningful clans around. Usually a smallish number of big clans and some other smaller clans hoping to be big clans, but not the huge number of quickly appearing and dissapearing clans which we saw five years ago.
Still some people bot and cheat but they also get banned, not always, but enough to regularly see cheaters go *poof*.

During my time SE had alot of problems about being truely useful with less actual healing ability then other classes. I had a quick look at the skills list and am a little worried.. but ive no actual experience on either of my old classes anymore i just did enjoy SE a tad more but guessing Bish is the best healing class still and from the comments above but is there a place in lineage 2 for an SE or a healer in general?
Thanks for all the help by the way :D

Bishop is still the best healer class.
And were you get level 79 from Spudnik?
since Hellbound is the only place high levels speak of as being good exp zones that would logically be the place one would find the most group action, however while it takes level 78 to get access to Hellbound, the majority of the time there is no space for a level 78, given the mobs most folks hunt at level 81-85 (areas in the sand dunes, chimeras, and the rest of the island - not to discount the stuff near the docks).
so 79 would be the level of acceptance.

that's assuming you are a DD
a lvl 6x bish/bd/wc/sws could still contribute to group

well SE is still a very inferior healer until level 76, and is really good after that.
but at low levels it now has Stigma which is a debuff you put on mobs that gives +40% melee damage, which is very useful if you party with melee DD. otherwise it's decent, but still can't heal very well until S grade.
