View Full Version : RSVP - PAX Meet & Greet!
Come to the Lineage® Meet & Greet in Seattle! RSVP here! (http://anyvite.com/nkvk1dip3j)
During PAX weekend (September 3-5, 2010), players from Lineage and Lineage II will have a chance to meet and socialize with the NCsoft West staff for each game. We’ll be handing out swag items from inside a casual atmosphere, so stop on by!
When: 4:30 - 6:30, Saturday, September 4, 2010. The exact date and time that we have the Meet & Greet will be determined at a later day. It will definitely be during the PAX timeframe.
Where: (First Location) Tap House Grill, downtown Seattle, WA, USA. The PAX expo will be going on at the Seattle Convention Center, in the heart of downtown Seattle. You can find us hanging around the NCsoft booths inside the expo, but afterwards we will migrate to a nearby restaurant or bar to have our Lineage and Lineage II Meet & Greet!
We will likely be moving to different locations according to how many people show up. Follow us on Twitter (http://twitter.com/NCWest_Lineage2) for updates as we go along.

Cabel - Lineage and Lineage II Senior Producer
Sace - Lineage II Community Manager
Nyx - Lineage Community Manager
You! - Lineage and/or Lineage II Player
Moxie (Lineage II Associate Producer) and Unicycle (Lineage Associate Producer) are currently marked as "might attend."
What will be happening? We want to meet you! Come hang out with us, meet other fans and players, discuss game techniques and ask us questions. We will also be giving out swag items to fans that attend our Meet & Greet.
Be sure to check our Twitter (http://twitter.com/NCWest_Lineage2) feed during PAX, as we'll be using that to announce our changing locations throughout the PAX weekend!

who am i kidding... it's a 5 day drive, and i don't particularly like air ports...
If you make a teleportation device i will be happy to meet and greet you all. I live in The Netherlands, pretty far away:)
It is highly likely that we will still do the NY ComicCon weekend Meet & Greet as well (in October, east coast obviously) but it's not 100% sure yet, and we're still working on details. I will post about that as soon as I know. :)

Are you going to be displaying L2 in any form? At least maybe a couple of posters on the wall? Might get us a few new players! :)
Since we don't have a single location, we won't have any props or posters. We will have swag representing one or both games, though.
I will try to come up with some carry-able display items, maybe a booklet of printed high-res screenshots, perhaps a laptop with the game installed. Thanks for the good ideas. :)

Sweet, thanks Sace! :) Gotta shout it from the rooftops, this is still the best game (even with it's faults) and more people need to know that :o

The Lineage and Lineage II Meet & Greet is free, and it will take place is a regular bar / restaurant where you can buy your own food and drink. It is not an official part of the PAX Expo. You do not need to have a ticket to the PAX Expo to be able to come to the Meet & Greet. :)

It looks like all of the tickets are sold out except for Sunday-only passes. See PAX ticket website here (https://v2.interactiveticketing.com/tickets/t27_2010_pax_prime_seattle_1002229d1f/form_purchase.php?step=tickets).
I don't know if tickets will be available at the door, but seeing as many passes are already sold out, it doesn't look good. :(

They usually have 1 day passes, just call or come to the convention center. You can also find people selling passes at the door. :P
The Meet & Greet is this Saturday! I'm so excited! :D To everyone coming, I'm looking forward to meeting you. :) There will be pictures!
Some of the little goodies we've organized are:
Bags of new swag items
A raffle for a Lineage II Elf Figurine (PVC)
Portfolios of rendered game screenshots from both games
An excellent and casual atmosphere at the Tap House Grill.
To those of you that can't make it, I want you to know that we are still hoping to do a New York City meet & greet later this year. Unfortunately I don't have any more details about it yet, but I will update as soon as there is news.

Lets keep it strictly to the meet and greet Jiggie; however, I am sure cosplay is probably encouraged at the PAX.
I wonder if the bar the meet and greet is it is big enough for a little LARP action. My +20 White Lightning is pretty big, don't need any innocent victims.

That was an outstanding time. It was great to get to meet all the community staff (even the surprise appearance of the City of Heroes staff!), as well as some of the other players from various servers.
We need to do this more often!

It was wonderful to meet everyone that came, and I do hope that we can have more real-life events in the future. We had a total of 14 Lineage II players show up, which was honestly more than we expected, for how casual and short-notice this gathering was. I'm sure that with more publicity and more locations we can get more following in the future. Thank you all so much for coming! :D

We (Badalaxe, Atica and myself) had a great time too. Meeting everyone and conversing about the game we've spent so many hours enjoying was the highlight of my day.
