It buffs you empower, bless the soul and some other stuff, and it also recharges your mp.

A kookaburra is the only good pet for an SH.

You need to get it to 55, and then upgrade it, and it will start to come alive. As it levels up further, the better the buffs it will give you.

If it is below Lvl 55, yeah it will only give you baby heals, no MP recharge, and thats pretty much it.

kill mob in my lvl or my pet need to kill lvl 24 mob?

I try the first one, and the XP it's just 0.25 give, every mob i kill it, so it's really slow if i'm doing that

Yep, this is L2. Nothing is easy. Wait til you get a higher level and you have to kill 10-20 mobs just to have your XP move 0.01%.

Just keep at it. The chicken will eventually catch and pass you in levels. Once it gets within 19 levels of you, I beleive it will level a bit faster. My pets always seem to level alot faster when they are close to/right at the level I am, even though it states it eats 5% of your XP, so it shouldn't matter.

You could also quickly level a separate toon to 24, and use it to level the pet to 30-40 then switch back to your SH, but since I am assuming this is your first toon, and you probably want to get some levels on your SH, just keep it behind you.

BTW Baby pets can't take any aggro. If it gets hit, it dies and loses XP. Don't try to kill mobs with it :) Just let it follow you and eat your XP.

yes you can. but not in this game..

make a lvl 20 toon and put the bird w/ it, it will be 55 by the time you are 45...

I beleive there are 2 pets you can ride once they are leveled up. An evolved wolf and hatchling. If you are the Clan leader of a clan that owns a castle (or a few other places) and you have an evolved Hatchling (Strider) you can turn in into a Wyvern and fly around on it.

If you didn't feed your pet, and he ran away, your gonna have to go get yourself a new bird. That one starved to death.

Nope, you can only do the quest once on a toon. Your cheapest option. Create a second char, go do the quest again, and then hand the Kooka over to your Mage.
