Soon to be A grade OL has grinding gear question

Going to be A grade level very soon, was wondering what gear would be best for a solo OL wanting to stay the melee route.

Currently using PL set and a fighter blunt, I have read that a lot of OL's us focus daggers once they hit past A grade, but does the auto attack damage from the dagger outweigh the damage from a blunt spamming Hammer Crush?

All times I've meleed with orc mystics, I have never found it even decent with a dagger. You just dont have the accuracy to hit often enough, and with that you are forcing yourself to fight light blue/green mobs.

Stay on blunt and dc light imo. Never get heavy armors, they gimp you way too much in atkspeed/castspeed. Keep spamming skills.

Light + Blunt + Soul Guard + Soul Cry == Tank with power of average DD
To be safe take some caster weapon (best blunt) to cast Root / steal Essence and you can't die.

Ofc better try find some parties when you can show your abilities of crowd control. Now with that 9 lvl range of penalty max what you can do is join some ToI parties :(
In such case grab DC robe and caster blunt weapon.

I know some ppl who just always run with DC robe even if they solo (blunt fighter weapon as DD/ caster for curses and steal HP)
It is not bad solution as well...

I used robes and a blunt. With Soul Gaurd and Soul Cry it is no problem to kill white mobs.

Steal Essence / Stun / Wack Wack Wack / Pick up / Repeat....

Got to A grade yesterday and I'm sticking up with my plan
Robes + blunt with acumen. U never run out of mana, never run out of HP. Bit expensive on the shots side but who cares. Stun, Drain, Chop :D
