Hello there, im starting lineage all over. i havent played seriously for quite some time (last time was interlude) and since idk about balance and all that now a days i thought id ask.
Id like a character that deals nice dmg in pve.
is good in pvp
and doesnt level too slowly.
I tried sws but that was a bit boring since its all about the buffs there and i found out i didnt really enjoy playing it. What char u guys think should be nice to play with? I was leaning towards tyrant or gladiator myself but idk if theyre any decent now a days.. Some tips on what suits my playstyle would be greatly appreciated.. i know theres no such thing as the best class or anything im just interested in your opinion.
I loved playing as a Tyrant when i subbed it, and i leveled the fastest with it. It's pretty good with PVE. But i never pvped with it so i couldn't tell you how that is. But seeing as how with the update basically all the pvp will be 85+ and the fact that it means your a warrior, I'm sure it will be fine in pvp xD

I used to play with GH.. But after a forced stop, I started to play for a month before another forced stop. In that month I played gladiator, played a few days and went to lv 68 in a few hours actually. I really enjoyed playing with the gladiator.
I kinda dislike Orcs for running so slow, so IMO Glad > Tyr.

Tyrant is much faster then Glad ;)
My first Character was a Tyrant... and i love it...
They run fast (rabbit totem) They hit hard and fast (Puma/bear totem) And they have a unique class of weapons (fists) But with a bow they are very dangerous.
They have a very good CON and the best DEX...
I only dislikes the sounds they make (as a female) too much grunts!

Cheers for all the comments.. I dont know about nukers.. they dont appeal to me for some reason.. i never thought they were rly good in pvp compared to warriors.. so it seems pretty much 50/50 between tyrant and glad, haha

You can try Kamael Soulbreaker that is a mix of mele and nuker till lv85 and after awakening becomes pure nuker with lots of new skills like blink (teleporting backwards) and aoe ;)

Gladiator is awesome :D But it's slooooow when run... The slowiest class in L2 (Destroyers too).
Anyway don't forget about the Awakening at lvl 85, so choose your class based on Awaken classes (just a suggestion).

yes but idk anything about the balance after awakening? u know where i can find those stuffs? or can u tell me how the balance will be pvp wise especially?

You can find the skills list of Awaken classes on L2 website.
About the PVP balancing on Awaken class... that's a mystery.
I'm worried too, but I will play as Gladiator and then be a Tyrr Warrior, no doubts here ^^
Little suggestion: Don't worry about PVP balancing on Awaken classes. Just discover them, choose the one you prefer and THEN choose one from the classes which may "evolve" to that Awaken class.
Example: You like Othell Rogue. It can be accessed by Abyss Walker, Plains Walker, Treasure Hunter and Bounty Hunter.
Now you just have to check 4 classes and pick the one you like more ^^

I'm in your same situation :)
Try searching videos on YouTube to see them.
Maybe there are some topics here discussing about new skills, didn't search them yet.

nobody is going to be able to tell you how the balance will be, because too many things are at work; mainly if youre seeking to be part of a big group doing PVP then it will require you to find out how does the group function,and what does it lack, then you can be an integral part of that group.
this is but one concern, theres much more than that.

play what you find fun. if in some other game you were having fun as the Damage dealer class, make warrior
if you had fun as healer make healer.
dont try to be good at pvp on your first character, especially on a new server.
