Hai everyone, after some thinking I decided to go warlock ;)
And I was wondering a couple of things, I havent played lineage at all, I come from games thats all build & build for each char. Is it the same in here:confused: if so, i'd like one :p

Also hows the warlock compared to their other human caster classes, just a quick comparison.

Also just a quick overview of the class really excited and I dont like surprises

Well First Off Welcome to L2.
And very good choice on class.
Builds? Explain more On what you mean.
Warlock is a very Under-rated class. other human caster such as Prophets ( Buffers) Bishops (healers) and the 2 Nukers Sorcerer (DD) and Necromancer (Debuffs/DD/Summon) . But a Warlock has it all. The power to summon servitors , cubes , heal , nuke , and buff (Servitor that is).

Quick Overview of Class? Your Looking to be the best solo'ing class there is. Or If you wanna party, heck . your class is good to go for that 2. Gamestyle you will summon your servitor and he is the DD and you are the healer/buffer.. but who says you cant get your hands dirty as well? you will have a few nuke skills , debuff skills , it is also very common for a summoner to buy dual blades and fight with the servitor , once the mob is dead on to the next one untill healing is needed. Shall I go On?

What do y'all think about Warlock+Light Armor+Gun with ACU? Because now warlocks have a passive skill for light armors which give them c.speed and etc., more than Robe passive? :)

So, which's better - Light armor or robe armor? ;)

Get a robe and acumen weap.
Reason:
- With robe you got sh*tloads of mana to spam heals on summon (sometimes on urself)
- Robe has low p.def, you have Transfer Pain.
- Even with light armor and bow, you still hit weaker than a 3 yr old girl, so it's kinda a waste of shots and adena. Also later on you'll prolly make -STR +CON dyes to survive in mass war anyway, which gimps your dmg even more.
- Solo exp: All you do is target mob, let summon kill, heal summon, rinse and repeat.
- Party exp: You call up Feline Queen (got her at lvl 56) and buff up your party, and you can /sit while your party memebrs (and prolly your cat) do everything :p

Telling someone to play lazy is just plain BAD advice.

Early on, any summoner is a damage engine as quite frankly you get your pet buffed from the newbie helper and the summoner gets buffed as well and you can play as TWO DDs instead of just one.

The summoner is a fairly decent nuker all the way into your 60s. Take advantage of this and learn when to DD and when to support your pet.

Anywhere where there are hp/mp herbs just go all out damage when you aren't picking up herbs. Literally send your pet at another target while you nuke another down. Later on in life you will be picking up loot behind your pet and nuking/meleeing when you get a chance.

When your late 60s come, your nukes really stop being worth a bsps... do not hesitate to dish damage or nuke non-bsps though when mana is plentiful. When mana isn't plentiful, MELEE. (when its not dangerous to do so)

Due to transfer pain, and cast speed, I'd advise robes to aid in casting speed which means you can switch from nuking to healing/buffing fairly quickly.

81-85 it is actually a good plan to engineer every encounter to get hit to try to keep pet rage up as much as possible.

Just an FYI, even in your 80's using only S grade duals (from my SD sub) I was dishing up to 15-20% of total damage output with my summoner melee. At 85 with a maxed out +15 79 pet I was dishing 15% or so...

actually, after reaching 52 i left acu weapon and robes and went for light and duals; spells dont seem to land as much, consume mp for nothing and stuff.. the only thing work casting is the dimensional skill so i just go with that and maybe cast it when needed... i do also enjoy using duals tho, i suppose its personal

I'm level 75 and my blaze hits about 80% of the time. With mana herbs, this isn't wasteful at all.
