This is the story of Equanimity and his siege of Talking Island within the first few hours of Magmeld's opening.

He started off innocent, like all others, within the first minutes of inception.

First victim. I just wanted to see how brutal the new Reputation (Karma) system was.

It turned out to be VERY brutal. After 30 mins of killing mobs my level, I lost about 70 reputation points out of 1800 (from 2 pks, second guy attacked me and I had to defend myself).

I figured I'd swim over to Talking Island and raid it.

HOLY ****, my path in the sea crossed with that of a ferry! These things go like once every 30 minutes! What are the chances!

Maybe I should buy a lottery with this luck... Now, if only I could find a lottery ticket seller in the middle of the sea. Yeah right, I'm not that lucky!

One death can't stop Equanimity, however. Nothing to lose, no items, no levels, even buffs can be received from the newbie guide. Awesome.

You can use your imagination... I've pked a lot of newbies (but many more got away while I had my hands full) during that hour or so. I'm sure they had a lot of fun too, trying to avoid the wrath of the evil Equanimity.
