Hi everyone :D alright so I was wondering what type of dye or (tatto?) you guys use, I know it goes by everyone playstyle but im fairly new at this game and I wouldnt want to buy something just for nothing. I read a few guides about this tatto thing, I reached level 53 without knowing anything about it :p

But here I am, i'd like something that increases my HP sadly, so far im squishy, I mean i've played caster classes before in other games but nothing so squishy like here :) [It's okay tho, the crazy dps makes up for it]

So yeah, a little guide regarding this :D would be awesome.

Many thanks for any answer

Anyone? :) could really use a response, I mean.. my hp is crazy low, only 2k sadly, my friend is a warsmith with 8k hp already, I mean I know we're not same classes but **** 6k difference?

Been reading few guides on dye/tatto's and from what I learned its not worth to buy the ones merchant sells. So yeah, any help? should I buy the HP-type tat?

Read this guide, it should help you with tattoos.

Awesome, thank you, now after reading ALL the guide I reached the tatto section just to leave me with more doubts.

He says my pet does more damage, when and where? sure he deals A LOT of damage but screw that, I deal more.

So, im still a bit confused, should I follow his guide AND get that DEX attribute tattoo?

It's kinda weird, I mean grrr

Your not powerful like a SpellHowler, your pet is your primary dmg dealer and tank and you are support for it, giving it heals when it needs it and using cubics and wind or dark spells to help kill the mob.

I don't know what class you are, or I missed it, but as a PS myself I can tell you that it would be a waste of time and adina to buy fighter tatoos. Before they sped up the leveling rate and when you would have been in b-grade for months rather than days, it may have been worthwile, but not now. You are at the awkward point as a summoner where the power is about to shift from you to the summon, but hasn't yet. Give it a few more levels and you will see what we mean. If I was you, I'd research and prepare for caster tats that improve your casting speed. Your damage means nothing when you get to A-grade and beyond in my opinion.

Yeah, reached A-grade now and you are right. It's pretty pointless and just mana draining for me to spam skills, ill wait and get more gaming knowledge and see what tattoo I can buy/search.

Thanks for your help ;)

I don't think I really quite follow the reasoning behind getting a +DEX tattoo and not getting a +CON tattoo. I honestly can't think of a single situation as a wizard where you would want the minimal benefits of +DEX, rather than the more noticeable benefits of getting +CON. Extra HP, higher weight capacity, stun resist, etc. If you really want to have a high Atk Speed, get a dagger. The difference between a 1-handed sword and a dagger's atk speed is greater than what you'd get from a +DEX tat.

The reasoning behind the +DEX is so that you don't get hit in the first place. The less someone is able to hit you the better because you have low hp even with the +CON dyes :)

Wow, I can see theres a lot of different playstyle for this tatto thing.
I've read that its better for me to wait, the ones the mercahnts sell they kinda suck

I think im gonna go for CON Dye. I think not sure :) gotta ask around more maybe the DEX one is good.

But yeah, my survavility is 0!

No No No No No
Ignore DEX, its not our stat. You will never have the avoid necessary to make Dex worth anything and buffing your melee damage output is not worth the tats. The % of crit transferred to pets in endgame (83+) is not worth the opportunity cost.
In late game you don't want the mob to miss you, you want it to hit you and cause rage in your pet then have the pet or pets take aggro!

From 40-85
tat like a nuker...
+wit -men
+int -men
+con -str

+Wit makes you cast faster and crit more often
+Int makes your nukes hit harder, your spells land more often

CON is the only melee stat you should ever modify. It increases HP, which your transfer pain skill makes even more effective. It increases stun and physical debuff resistance... Stun and the like are summoner-killers.

From 40-60ish you should be nuking alongside your pet melee killing two targets at once.
Your nukes do plenty of damage, and even with modest weaponry you should be able to 2 or 3-hit.

After 55 or so your nukes will questionably not be worth a bsps. You can still nuke when mana allows. Do not over-nuke. Maintaining your pet is your #1 priority...
1) does the pet need a heal?
2) does the pet need buffs or removing a debuff?
3) nuke if mana allows (do not go below 50% mana)
4) melee if nothing else... (don't bother with melee shots unless rich or you have a stockpile you might as well use)

In areas with herbs, you might as well nuke. (save areas where you nukes are heavily resisted)
A reminder than you will never nuke like a Spellhowler... but you don't have to.
Your pet is an infinite store of melee damage which does not require mana most of the time.

You have the stats and equipment (and newbie buffs) to make your nukes a LOT better than your melee, and sometimes your pets are full, and buffed and you might as well do SOMETHING.

After 81, CON becomes more important as you will intentionally nuke something, get hit to get pet rage up, then let pet take aggro. (use common sense, a lot of mobs beating you will trigger rage, but may kill you before the pet pulls aggro)

ALWAYS run transfer pain... summoners are fairly durable due to this. You are no tank, but you'd be surprised how durable you can be.
(I have no idea how you can feel squishy... 40-60 or so, summoners are perhaps overpowered due to newbie buffs on pet and summoner.)

Also, the article linked is right about one thing... a well-played summoner is an amazing damage engine.

for melee power i would suggest getting transformations. Atleast on my phantom summoner they have been great help on places where death spike isn't that good. oel mahum and lilim knight are my favourites but sabertooth tiger and some dragon isn't bad either.
with lilim knight i can use bow to give patk and spam skill that costs 50hp and 5 mp (with mentor buffs /vr easy to heal self) patk will be about same as summons and skill has fast recharge.
little clip on that.

pity they have long cooldown so you would need 5-6 to stay constantly transformed. and since it lasts 30 minutes you can't refesh cubics or buffs during that time unless you turn back to normal form

Just curious, what's the best spot for a summoner 70-85?

Go to Forest of the dead. Lots of herb drops.
