Their style is totally different: Gladiator focuses on signle target, Warlord goes for AOE.
Common sense says: Gladiator for PVP, Warlord for PVE.
BUT at lvl 85 both become same class, Tyrr Warrior (with same race skills and same stats).
So you just have to decide which gamestyle fits you best till 85 :) After that it won't matter anymore ^^

WL is good for party pvping, for his AOE stuns and hits...
Oni link, how about skills before awakening? do tyr warriors have all of the skills or they don't matter anymore?
And passives?

Imho Tyrr is the fusion between Gladiator (for attack skills and Momentum) and Gran Khavatari (for self buffs, they are very similar to totems).

When you awaken you lose ALL your skills and you receive a list of choosen skills. This list includes all "main" skills of your previous class.
To learn new awaken skills, you must sacrifice old skills.
Some skills require one or two skills to be sacrified, some none. You can find the whole list in GoD patch notes, here:
Awakening Skill Replacement (http://www.lineage2.com/en/game/patch-notes/goddess-of-destruction/awakening/awakening-skill-replacement.php).
Race skills depends on the race of your previous class (so GL and WL take Human race skills, Destroyer and Tyranter take Orc race skills, Warsmith Dwarf's and Berserker Kamael's).

they become the same thing - which is a warrior type class that can use a pole or use dual swords.
if you become a rogue at level 20 as a human fighter, you have the option of specializing using a dagger/dual daggers or a bow with no weapon masteries for the other types mentioned in the first paragraph.

Tyrr can use Dual Swords, Dual Blunts, single Blunt, single Sword, Two-handed Sword and Polearm.

Tho Tyr Warrior isnt a class to choose atm unless your rly in love with them.
(even while i love the Gladi/Duelist for more then 5+ years i consider a reroll since Tyr Warrior suck)

I love Gladiator too so I'll be a Tyrr Warrior, no matter what :)
If you check DeigoVargas topic about Tyrr skills, you will see that Tyrr is like Gladiator: if you don't play it good, you'll fail hard. But if you manage how to use it, then you'll shine :)
And anyway many people said (and keep saying) Gladiator sucks... and then I found them dead when my swords hit them ^^
PS: Don't misunderstand me Dreamer, I'm not saying that you don't know how to play Tyrr. That sentence is for people who want to try it and never use a Gladiator ^^
