Hi all, posting for a friend she's a dark elf tank lvl 87 and she seems to have really low p.def and I can't find out why she's in +4 full immortal gear defense type on the full set and she also has a twlight shield. Now unbuffed she has 2289p.def when every tank I talk to has 600-900 more than that, and buffed she's just over 3200 when most are getting on at 5000. Any help would be great :)

Perhaps others have dyes.

The other tanks might be usig the Focus shield toggle and Iron aura, while your friend doesnt have those on?

Thats another 565 pdef.

My tank on toggles no buffs has 3004 pdef in the +6 immortal set. And thanks to the bonus mp regen of the set im able to keep the toggles on without losing mp, actually even 16 mp regen per tick with toggles on.

dyes got nothing to do with Pdef.. it's what Smittie says + ClanLeader login buff which at lvl5 gives a decent boost to pdef & patt.

Clan skills also gives 7% p def, belt and shirt give some p def aswell.

Doesnt CON give some pdef though?

I have +12 con on that tank as well.

No i dont think CON gives p def at all.

pdef unbuffed is ok for her level .. i had 2470 unbuffed at level 89. As said above the focus shield toogle help alot, and iron aura adds another ~200pdef. She got skills enchanted and shes wearing the sigel cloak?

Buffed pdef seems a bit low, i guess she got warrior harmony instead knight? To get close to 5000 at your level you probably need your passives decently enchanted and the dwarf-buffs too and clan-skills and a +6 immortal set and no daring sonata.

She realy got all items of the immortal set as defense type?

Con gives resists/CP/HP/weight limit that can be carried etc. that's all never saw my p.def high on con.

The pdef is fine, i have lvl 86 untaged sigel in +3 immortal and her pdef is 2019 when completely unbuffed w/o togles on. Just make sure your friend is using the correct toggles as people above mentioned. And being in clan with decent clanskills makes a lot difference too.

DYE's have totally no effect on pdef, any of them.

And for god's sake tell your friend to use immortal shield defense type with immo set. Tank is all about the shield defense lately.

Does the shield really make a difference in the shield defense? I mean, the immo shield is not even mentioned in the defense type immo heavy set bonuses... So I assumed one could use both immo and tw according to preference.

Well the shield itself has a pdef value too, only used when shield blocking though.

Hence why the mp consuming toggle is so awesome, since it adds +35% chance to shield block.

The shield can be attributed with the same type of the armor, Attack or Defense, but I dunno if this changes anything in particular.

And, if I would to choose a R grade shield, I would choose Twilight Shield. Immortal Shield is FUGLY,looks more like a car cap.

You're right, i just checked and the additional shield defense pasive pops up with any kind of shield no matter what you are wearing :o But it has to be either defense or attack typized, if its not, there is no pasive.

Note: If you still don't see it, its due to the "lines" (due to lack of better word) that look like spokes.

You miss up the bonus shield def rate with shield of the same type. from s dyn all the set+shield activates the bonus shield def (you can see that in the armor stat description).
