You are wrong.
When I started I was new to L2. It took me 2-3 weeks in total to hit lvl 85. (Though I was slowed down a bit due to not having help, no iss box, no mentor till 76, and clan war.)

Actually you do, unless the larger clans you are fighting decide to have members racking up PK.
Siege grounds= FFA
Off Siege Grounds= Flagging, or PK.

All I can say is my clan, when we were just starting out was warred.
Now the clan who warred us knew we didn't have a single lvl 85+ member at the time, yet they did.
We didn't drop the war, and...

Honestly adding extra channels would cut down on the pvp in the servers. (Which would suck.)
This game forces people to PvP in order to PvE by making popular spots to exp grind in 1 channel.

1. You flag if you hit someone, so if someone hits you they will flag.
If you kill them while they are flagged you don't go red.
2. Don't use force attack or hold ctrl, and you wont go red.
