Zones

Isle of Souls

Level 92-96 Solo/Party-type Hunting Area. Quest Zone.

An army of dwarves is engaged in battle with Mother Nornil’s Spiculas and the Golem Corps brought by Dr. Chaos.

  • The Isle of Souls has been reborn as a hunting ground for small parties comprising characters level 92~96.
  • New monsters have been introduced in place of the old ones.
  • Black Anvil Guild Golems and Dwarf Soldiers are engaged in battle with Spiculas at various places on the battlefield. If you kill a Spicula that a Golem is fighting, that Golem will temporarily become an ally and help you fight other monsters.
  • Sometimes a ‘Self-Destruction Golem’ appears near the character and uses a ‘Self-Destruction Skill’. When this happens, the allied Golem becomes an enemy. Nearby monsters are also effected and are rendered helpless.
  • The Spicula multiplying ‘inn’ continuously spawns monsters. At set times, allied soldiers and ‘Cannonball Golems’ appear near the ‘inn’. The ‘Cannonball Golem’ can be of great help when hunting monsters.
  • Added the moving raid boss ‘Gigantic Golem.’
Nornil’s Cave
Level 93-96 Party-type Hunting Area. Quest Zone.

A program to expel intruders has been initialized in accordance with super computer “Mother Nornil.” The living weapon Spicula Kamael are continuously working to expel intruders.

  • Nornil’s Cave has been reborn as a level 93~96 small party hunting zone.
  • New monsters have been introduced in place of the old ones.
  • You can use the ‘Nornil Moving Device’ to teleport inside the cave.
  • Alarms and a Spicula clone device ‘boss’ exist at various points in the cave. Upon being attacked or discovering the character, these cause additional monsters to be summoned.
  • There is a ‘Boss Central Device’ in the middle room of the cave. Level 93 and above characters in a party can enter the ‘Nornil’s Garden’ instance zone where raid boss ‘Spicula the Zero’ appears.
Nornil’s Garden
Level 93+ Raid Battle.

Spicula the Zero acts as a commander by controlling Spiculas and can be considered a living weapon at the service of Mother Nornil.

  • An instance dungeon accessible to parties (7 member parties recommended)
  • When progressing in a linear fashion, the raid boss ‘Spicula the Zero’ appears in the final room.
  • The instance zone is reset every day at 6:30.
Temple of Pagans
Level 98-99 Party-type Hunting Area. Quest Zone.

Shilen, awoken with the Seal of Disaster. In order to complete the Great Sacrifice, she has begun moving 4 demons of hell: Halisha, Malloc, Triol, and Bremmnon. Under orders from Shilen, Helan’s leader Triol has ordered his subordinates in the physical world (Andreas, Jacques Doom, etc.) to prepare for the “Great Sacrifice” and his own transfer to the material realm. Jacques Doom has started churning out bloodsucking insects while Andreas is producing pagans and spreading them into the heart of Rune.

  • Increased monsters’ levels to level 98-99
  • The ‘Pagan’s Key’ acquired from killing monsters can now be used to open all doors in the Temple of Pagans. (The original Anteroom Key, Chapel Key, and Key of Darkness can also be used.)
  • Increased raid boss Andreas Van Halter’s level to 99.
  • Raid boss Andreas Van Halter now spawns on the first floor of the altar.
  • All doors in the area of the altar where Andreas Van Halter spawns are now open.
Fairy Settlement
Level 88-94 Solo/Party-type Hunting Area. Quest Zone.

Kimerian and the fairies under his control have settled in Magmeld. However, the decaying darkness has been seeping in and the Cocoon Destroyer appears, spreading the curse of darkness and corrupting Kimerian and the fairies.

  • Lowered the level of monsters that spawn in the cocoon.
  • Raised the level of monsters that spawn in the Large Cocoon.
  • Increased the battle skills for Scout monsters.
  • When the Cocoon appears, the ‘Cocoon Destroyer’ may appear randomly. Upon killing the ‘Cocoon Destroyer’, the Wisp may also appear randomly to restore the character’s HP/MP and provide it with a buff that increases its P. Atk and M. Atk.
  • Increased the XP for raid boss Kimerian (normal and Epic).
Kartia’s Labyrinth

We have changed settings for the solo-type Kartia’s Labyrinth in the following ways:

  • It has become easier to use the location of the “Kartia Researcher” that appears in the Town of Aden.
  • If you kill the ‘Kartia Dimensional Watcher’ that spawns on the seventh level of the first floor of the solo-type Kartia’s Labyrinth, the ‘Life Plunderer’ monster appears.
  • When the ‘Life Plunderer’ monster’s HP drops below 10%, the ‘Boiling Blood’ buff is applied to the character.
  • While the ‘Boiling Blood’ buff is active, the character can resurrect at the spot of death and XP, HP, and MP can all be recovered completely.
  • The ‘Boiling Blood’ buff is only active while in the solo-type Kartia’s Labyrinth.
  • Reduced the HP for the ‘Kartia Dimensional Watchman’.
  • Reduced the HP for boss monsters Zellaka, Pelline, and Kalios.
Teredor

Made the following changes in regards to battling the boss ‘Teredor’:

  • Increased Teredor’s XP, SP, and rewards.
  • Decreased the number of ‘Elite Millipedes’ that Teredor summons.
  • Subordinate monsters no longer provide XP or SP.
  • The instance dungeon now resets if Teredor dies.
  • Lowered the minimum party size that can enter the instance from 7 players to 5 players.
  • Increased the time to complete the instance from 45 minutes to 60 minutes.
Guillotine Fortress
  • The 3-page setup for the Guillotine Fortress raid boss “Guillotine of Death” has been changed as follows:
    • The location where the “Guillotine of Death” begins to summon followers has been adjusted.
    • The rate of follower appearance has been adjusted lower.
  • The XP reward has been raised for the monster “Skull Dissect of Hellfire” that appears in the Guillotine Fortress.
  • The placement and individual numbers of monsters that appear in the Guillotine Fortress have been adjusted.
  • Duration has been changed to 30 minutes for the item “Proof of Survival” that can be acquired in the Guillotine Fortress.
  • The following Guillotine Fortress monsters have been changed to the undead.
    • Floating Spirit Hazkal
    • Rozenia's Command
    • Dual Butcher Kelvalla
    • Izad
  • You can no longer acquire the item “Proof of Survival” from the following monsters that appear in the Guillotine Fortress.
    • Butchered Hakal
    • Fang of Despair Adidaiu
    • Erect Wild Beast Center
    • Ex-Torture Expert Samata
  • Changed the set-up for the boss battle of the raid boss “Guillotine of Death” in the Guillotine Fortress as follows:
  • Added a sword aura effect to the boss’s weapon
  • Fixed a problem involving the boss appearing before the set re-appearance time.
  • The “Guillotine of Death” can now appear at day or night whenever the re-appearance time occurs (previously could only appear at night in the game).
  • Increased the chance of obtaining the ‘Proof of Survival’ item at Guillotine Fortress.
Tauti & Seed of Hellfire
  • The set-up for the Seed of Hellfire raid boss “Tauti” has been changed as follows:
    • The boss information has been added to Tauti’s target screen.
    • The duration has been increased for the “Tauti Ultra Whirlwind” and “Tauti Ultra Typhoon” skills.
    • Tauti can resist all abnormal statuses.
    • Changed the set-up for the boss battle of the raid boss “Tauti” in the Seed of Hellfire as follows:
    • The subordinate monster “Jahak” appears less frequently.
    • Decreased the power of the “Petra Injection – Enhance HP Recovery” skill used by the subordinate monster “Jahak”.
    • Decreased the use frequency of the skills “Tauti Ultra Whirlwind” and “Tauti Ultra Typhoon”.
    • Increased the duration of the skills “Tauti Ultra Whirlwind” and “Tauti Ultra Typhoon” has been increased.
    • If “Tauti" is defeated in a normal battle, the de-buff “Shilen's Breath” will now be applied.
  • The following skill type buffs that are used by the Seed of Hellfire monsters have been changed into debuffs.
    • Goods Strike
    • Vernier Calipers Strike
    • Spear Bash
    • Goods Throw
Misc Changes
  • The difficulty level has been lowered in the following raids.
    • Octavis Epic Battle
    • Istina Epic Battle
    • Tauti Normal and Epic Battles
    • Antharas
    • Valakas
  • Some instance dungeons have been changed to delete faster when no character exists inside the dungeon.
  • Changes have been made so that equip and supply items cannot be used while teleporting through Sayune.
  • The Sayune icon not appearing when the main class is an awakened class, changing to a dual class or sub class, then moving to above Sayune, has been corrected.
  • Monsters that dropped herbs now also drop vitality herbs.
  • Changed the appearance of some NPC’s in the village.
  • The ‘Race Event’ is no longer active.
  • The client’s memory use has been improved efficiently, resolving the problem of intermittent decreases in client speed during long hours of hunting or large-scale raids.
  • Some of the videos that appear in the Prison of Darkness instant dungeon can now be manually stopped.
  • Increased the XP and SP rewards for hunting monsters in Nornil’s Cave.
  • Characters can no longer change to sub / dual class in instance zones created via the Dimensional Treasure Chest.
  • For some items obtainable through hunting, changed the required level from 85 and above characters to 85 and above awakened characters.

  • The location of “Nevit’s Herald” in the Town of Oren has been changed to avoid overlap with the Mentor Guide.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a problem where the reappearance cycle for ‘Earth Wyrm Trasken’ would become set to 1 week instead of 2 weeks when the NPC server went down.
  • The problem of not being able to acquire the Energy of Destruction while hunting monsters in the Guillotine Fortress has been corrected.
  • A character can no longer use a moving device to teleport to the Seeds of Infinity, Destruction, Annihilation, or Hellfile while in a flying transformation state.
  • Fixed a problem where the effect of a character’s equipment would not be displayed on an airship or the third floor of Kartia’s Labyrinth.
  • Fixed a problem where the Fortuna instance raid boss ‘Weeping Yui’ would sometimes not appear.
  • Fixed the issue in which you could summon party members by using the summon skill in Prison of Darkness.
  • Fixed the issue in which you would be teleported to the interior of the Steel Citadel if you used an Escape or Return skill inside the Hellbound Urban Area instanced zone.
  • Fixed the issue in which you could open the temple doors without being attacked by Gatekeeper Zombies if you had the Faded Visitor’s Badge in the Pagan Temple.
  • Fixed the issue in which Carsus of Cruma Tower would occasionally drop below the terrain.
  • Fixed the issue in which Andreas van Halter, a raid boss in the Pagan Temple, would occasionally recover full HP when teleporting to the second level of the altar due to HP loss.
  • Fixed the issue in which monsters in the Pagan Temple would have white marks displayed on their appearances when using certain graphic cards.
  • Deleted Greyclaw Kutus, the raid boss that would spawn where characters could not reach after the renovation of the Abandoned Camp hunting ground.
  • Deleted Greyclaw Kutus’s info from the world info section.
  • Fixed a problem where a previous conversation with an NPC could be heard when using an item that opens a pop-up window.
  • Fixed a problem where the ‘Kartia Dimensional Watcher’ sometimes appeared on the 7th level of the 3rd floor of the Level 90 solo Kartia’s Labyrinth.
  • Fixed a problem with the dialogue screen not being displayed when speaking with the “Warden Assistant” who appears in the Guillotine Fortress.
  • Fixed a problem with the knock down motion not being displayed for some monsters that appear in the Guillotine Fortress.
  • Fixed a problem in which the Guillotine Fortress raid boss “Guillotine of Death” would not appear.
  • The problem of the tooltip for the “Shadow Dash” skill, which is used by the Kartia Dimensional Watcher that appears in Kartia’s Labyrinth, displaying a duration that differs from the actual duration has been corrected.
  • The problem of the reward item being dropped outside the door when the Fortuna raid boss “Enraged Master Kinen” is defeated near the door has been corrected.
  • The problem of the location of the raid monster “Soulless Wild Boar” not being marked correctly on World Info has been corrected.
  • When the Crystal Caverns raid boss “Veridan” is defeated after using its heal skill, the problem of the skill effect continuing to apply even after its death has been corrected.
  • The problem of the “Bloody Keeper” in the Watcher’s Tomb disappearing upon appearance of the “Bloody Mystic” has been corrected.
  • After defeating the final boss in the Crystal Caverns, Steam Corridor, or Emerald Square, the problem of the “Adventure Guildsman” not appearing sometimes has been corrected.
  • Changed the videos for the Prison of Darkness instance so that no videos will be listed except for the one in which “Spezion” appears.
  • Fixed a problem with a character’s sword aura effect not being displayed in a certain place in the Seed of Hellfire.
  • Fixed the issue in which the boss’ chamber door sometimes wouldn’t open even if the Kartia Dimensional Watcher of the 2nd floor came near in the solo Kartia’s Labyrinth.
  • Lowered the probability for monsters that appear in the Isle of Souls to use skills that induce altered states.
  • Fixed a problem that prevented Seed Energy and Star Stones from being gathered.
  • Fixed a problem that inactivated the ‘Drum Melody’ skill when using the ‘Heavenly CP Boost Cookie.’
  • Fixed a problem where the dialog for the enemy golem NPC that appears in the Isle of Souls would display too quickly.
  • Fixed a problem where recommended levels from before the update were shown for Isle of Souls, Nornil’s Cave, and Nornil’s Garden in the World Info Hunting Grounds tab.
  • Fixed a problem where the allied ‘Screw Golem’ would not appear after killing a Spicula in battle with a neutral ‘Screw Golem’ in the Isle of Souls.
  • Fixed a problem where the screen background would not disappear when entering the Fortuna instance dungeon.
  • Fixed a problem where the ‘Boiling Blood’ buff received after killing the ‘Life Plunderer’ on the first floor of the solo-type Kartia’s Labyrinth would cancel the ‘Emblem of Salvation’ bluff.
  • Fixed a problem where the monster’s name was incorrectly shown in the pop up window when talking to the ‘Boss Central Device’ in Nornil’s Cave.
  • Fixed a problem where the audio dialog for Seed of Annihilation raid boss Istina would not play.
  • Fixed a problem in which the raid monster Ron’s name was shown incorrectly as ‘Tron’ in the target window for the Fortuna raid boss Yoentumak the Waiter.
  • Fixed a problem in which the cooldown time for using the Giant Cannonball in the cannon that appears in the Prison of Darkness was listed incorrectly as 5 minutes in the popup window.
  • Fixed a problem in which the Escape Device location change time would sometimes not be displayed in Garden of Genesis, the first stage of the Prison of Darkness.
  • Fixed a problem in which a black object would appear in the sky near the Wastelands.
  • Fixed the awkward appearance of bars at the Temple of Pagans.
  • Fixed a problem where escaping from Kamael Village would transport characters to the Cave of Souls.
  • The problem of sometimes not being able to enter the Temple of Pagans through Triol’s Mirror has been corrected.
  • The problem of sometimes not being able to teleport to the Hall of Jewels through the “Crystal Guard Golem” in the Coral Garden instance dungeon has been corrected.
  • The problem of monsters sometimes not appearing in the Fortuna instance dungeon has been corrected.
  • The problem of sometimes the Dimension Stones being consumed but teleporting not occurring when teleporting through the Dimensional Vortex in the Tower of Insolence has been corrected.
  • Disconnecting while in “Antharas' Nest” or “Valakas' Lair” then reconnecting within 20 minutes will result in the game resuming at the previous location.
  • The problem of all Channel Members being able to enter Antharas’ Nest even when not possessing a portal stone has been corrected.
  • The problem of terrain features not appearing when you teleport to a specific location in the Town of Gludio has been corrected.
  • The problem of not being able to teleport in certain areas of the Battered Lands has been corrected.
  • The problem of Kimerian’s invincibility sometimes not being removed even after all the “Kimerian Ghosts” have been defeated in the Kimerian Normal Battle has been corrected.
  • The problem of the Adventure Guildsman sometimes not appearing after Kechi has been defeated in the Steam Corridor has been corrected.
  • The problem of the “Mutated Elpy” NPC not appearing sometimes so that the Core Naia battle cannot proceed has been corrected.
  • The problem of not being able to teleport to the Orbis Temple from the Garden of Genesis area of the Prison of Darkness instance dungeon even when all party members have left a record on the Escape Device has been corrected.
