BH - Dagger

Hello! Let's see if anybody here can help me!

I just decided to use my BH with a dagger, because of the skills... but I want to know the pros and cons and/or your recommendations, and if it's useful to have a BH in this chronicle, because the spoil seems not to be working...

Hi there and congrats for your dwarf i got one too and as far as i can tell, dagger is better till u get the skill collectors experience
why i say that? cuz(and i can tell) potential ability reachs his max lvl at 52 getting u overpowered with dagger a lot more than with blunt(stun doesnt land too much either) and u can grind/spoil prity good with critical-activable Dagger mastery(greatly deceases mp consumition of skills like spoil, backstab) and if u have some skills with ur hands u can get the back of a mob even with blazing boost or if it is agro... so +1 for dagger BUT, when u reach lv 60 u firs learn collectors experience that gives u a lot more p atk with blunt, more shield succes defence and the chance to get a new activable skill(beside sword/blunt mastery which also reduce mp consumition of skills). that skill is actibable after using crushing strike. it gives u i cannot tell exactly but i think it was like 10% of P.Atk P.Atk.Speed P.Critical and P.Critical chance. endeed thats a lot so...
1-20 i go with fists
20-40 they give u elven long sword, its fine at least for PvE
40-60 Dagger, ur best friend and light, they give u better stats than heavy
60-81 i go with blunt, at least for PvE, for pvp idk u can stun then dagger then backstab (works)

81-99 Dagger/Dual dagger go for it, become a master in dagger skills !!!

thank you what can you say about the spoil? it seems not to be working, I can't get anything from the monsters

That isnt as it looks like, there r some thing u must know about spoil

1) Every monster has a chance to give u an item when spoiled(so if its a chance there r some times u get nothing)

2)Every time u use spoil u have a chance to succeed and land it(u get a mesage saying "spoil condition is now activated")

So then:
Situation 1
U hit a mob, use spoil on it and get the mesage "spoil condition is now activated" kill him and then it get blue. That means that u were a lucky one cuz u hit on the chance to get an item!!! Quick use sweeper!! ur monster will disapear in a few secs and u will lost ur loot(we dont want that do we?) Congratulation un have earned some materials check at ur inventory to find out what u got!!

the problem of spoil is:

when you reach lvl 85 and you awaken you are a dagger! you have a skill called Plunder that spoil and sweep mobs! You don't need to sweep your mob after death. BUT you loose your mass spoil when you awaken! so your char is destroyed you are no more a dwarf spoiler you are a dagger like all Adventures with a skill that steals items time to time to mobs. This is not spoil! But you can craft like all dwarves that were crafter!

I hope NCSoft be aware of this situation and in a future update give back the true spoil and mass spoil to dwarves and only to dwarves ( a racial skill) - so Othell Rogue can steal items from mobs but only dwarves can really spoil and do mass spoil

Depends on mob and situation!.!

62+ if you got mentor buffs: go AoE with whirlwind in ancient battleground (pole). Pull 50 of these mobs (1/2 life) and nuke them with whirlwind (dont forget to move, cause they stun). Insane XP. Later swamp of sorrows etc.
With AoE ing and Mentor buffs you play a dorf 1-75 in 3 days.

You like to party in ToI? Use leather armor and dagger. The dmg you deal is x times higher than using blunt.

Forrest of the dead Solo: i suggest heavy armor and blunt, cause mobs are weak to blunt etc etc etc

How Spoil works:

1. Use Spoil on the mob.
2. If Spoil lands, it will display a message in the chat window.
3. Kill the monster
4. If Spoil landed and items were spoiled*, the monster's corpse will turn blue.
5. Use Sweeper on the (blue) corpse to collect the Spoiled items.

*Spoil work like regular drops. Every monster has a list of items that spoil randomly with a x% chance of success. Some items have a high % chance (mats, pots, etc). Some items have a very low chance (recipes, enchant scrolls, etc). Just remember that it's a dice roll on every monster you kill.

I have a detailed idea for these lvls: Just port to giran as soon as you ding 40 and buy a plated leather set with +4 str (less than 1kk and absolutely worth the fun). Use it together with a 2h Blunt (or a dagger).
The +4str adds supperior patk and skill crit to fatal strike, blows and related skills.
If you permanently buy/get iss buffs, you don't even need a b grade set, as the plated leather is superior to any other light at those lvls.
You will lvl faster with the plated than any other set due to the imense dmg output.

If you should get into trouble because of pdef you can add some enchants or non set items of higher grade (b gloves/shirt/helmet).

I dont even has complete my twilight set or has an apoc weapon when i discovered that my lil dorf can kill everyone but tank. Maybe the stats and racial skills of a dwarf arent the best for a dagger, but i dont have any problem in pvp, so, if you like the dwarf, they are good in pvp since first class transfer, and you discovery a new power being a trully dagger after 85.

In Bartz.... the pvp count lead is a dorfy...im happy with my little dorfy as an Othell Rogue. good earth attack. small and hard to attack.... and lots of CON to survive battles!

I have seen many BH using a dagger and a shield. I allways thought that rouge classes shouldn't use shields, is that right to use dagger+shield?

Ps: Sory for asking this here, is that I use a dagger with my BH and most of the rouge's I'd seen with shields are actually dwarfs

shield helps defense but hurts evasion. thy it both ways and see which way you like best. for me, Dwarf w/dagger and light armor - I'd stick with evasion
