Adena Spam Thread

Aden, like many other towns, is basically 24/24 hours like this. I think someone should do something about this! Block chat till level 40+, dunno, but these bots make it unplayable, expecially for those new players who lf kartia 85&stuffs. Not to consider how annoying it is!

And you thought you were the first one to make a thread about this? Couldn't you have bothered to use the SEARCH feature and posted there? Thanks for yet another repeated useless thread.

Can GMs do something to ban ppl who spam shout chat "!" in Aden ? it's impossible to read any other messages? it's 3 days now in a row. I understand that GMs may not be working during the weekend but hey, they should.

Those 3-4 robots spoil our game...

Some bot its a very spamming a shout chat. This is very annoying in some cities like Aden. Do not leave important messages or read the other players. Now in Aden is a bot shouting every half second a text of 5 lines and saturates all chat.

K al know the spam problem in aden....its anoing...
now...someone know this someone dont know or dont use....here's the fix...
go aden click the spamer name and to start put /block {spam name}
or simply write /block {spamer name} and wil block he mesaje and shout to get to you
i hope wil help some of people ...

Heh the funny thing is he wouldn't even need to use the search function considering there was a thread quite similar on the first page...though slightly different in content.

I guess that was too hard and making a new thread seemed to be the "best" thing to do.

they even switch chars between towns, i've seen bots spaming in the past in aden now spaming in godard or stutghart and otherwise.

I take note of the spammers name, and wheen i log any of my chars, use /block spamername and from this day, i can read the chat, its imposible in the normal way with full time spam

the GM's dont work saturdays or sundays so wait til tomorrow! thats why those bots were spamming from yesterday like 10lines of chat

I really cant believe they still failed to add proper filters for chat messages, where each message get analyzed before its processed for certain sub strings in the chat with system that auto chat ban any char that include particular strings of choice SUCH AS: www. ,w w w . , m m o r g etc...
not to mention they haven't added auto chat ban spammers (Server-Side) yet... coz the chat bans players receive are only client side, so if player is using bot he can override the client chat ban by force request chat packet by any bot...

They're advertising websites. Filtering the string mmoaa, as an example, with any variation in capitalization or spaces would cause the spammers a lot more trouble.

u guys QQ about spam , but when NCSoft added /block command in l2 , u prolly were sleeping

whats the name of the spammer? /block "his name"

problem solved, /block after a chronicle blocked everything , party / clan / ally/ trade / normal / shout / hero chats

the text filters are a simple way to fix that problems...

if you dont want to se www do some like this

Textban: www | w.w.w | w-w-w | w w w | w3 | etc | etc

and wheen some spamer have a idea, line | w 3 w | , you add this to the textban and ready.

Ahh, did not know that now the command /block used for everything that's new to me.
Thanks for the simple solution, hopefully soon I can not fill the block list .
