PS or SH

Im almost at that time to choose, i would love to be a Wizard endgame, however this is my only character, I'm broke, and my comp is too crap to dual box a recharger. I'm worried about mp regen, you think a PS will kill near as fast as a ps? to make up for the downtime i would have?

can you pass on the ISS Box if your willing to pay for nccoin and get the juices? I will only play like 3 days a week max for a hour or two so the extra bit of money spent on those things wont really bother me.

I don't think so juices don't give sonatas and harmony(if I'm not wrong), without sonatas+harm you will fell slow and weak.

Ah I see, kinda glad I went PS now though, if no idea how i could afford to be a SH, im broke trying to make 2k best shots and 25 spirit ore last me lol

Use patch to awakening it provides gear C-B-A-S and S80 to you and shots.

Yea I'm using that, but i needed to buy beast shots, that pretty much took up my adena, not sure if they changed the quest adena but i was only getting like 1-3k/quest max.

They did change the quest adena for all the 1-40. As a phantom summoner though you do get a nuke, death spike, that is actually really strong. Leveling my ps I went pretty much all the way to 80+ just nuking. That way I didn't use spirit ore and beast shots that often. Outlaw forest around 50, forsaken plains or field of massacre good around 55, Valley of saints around 60+, then FotD vampires are good and pavel ruins around 70. Once s-grade, dino island. There are other good spots...that's just my sort of normal nuker path to level.

lol, I'm very convinced that L2 people cant read or at least get the meant of what they'r reading. Its like when you are gathering ppl to farm marks in soa/gog and with everybody at the spot, someone just pulls out with: "wait, where are you going? is not for kartia? omg! wtf!"

Not sure if that is true, but at 6 hours a week might as well quit now... Or enjoy doing Kartia everyday.... Or you could just bot like everyone else. That might help your situations. Unless I miss something an in those hours you play you have some friends to play with, other than that it will takes years to lvl.

Don't quit, if those are your means to play then go ahead and do so. If you don't think it's worth it though, then yes, by all means, move on to something better.

If you want to solo, go summoner. By the time you awaken though, with just about any awakened class, you need to be in a pt to lvl efficiently. You can still solo, but it's much slower. However, if you're not concerned with pace, it shouldn't be a problem.

This game is not solo friendly and the time limit this person has makes it worse, NC will be increasing the level cap again, they will have to, to keep the game fresh, so you can see the snowball effect..

That is true, but some people are not concerned with that. They'll get there when they do, and if they don't it doesn't matter, since they utilize their time with friends or pvping which still keeps the game fun.

However, that's up to this guy. Only he knows whether it's worth it or not for him, that's not for us to decide. Know what I mean?

I'm not sure if summoner is the class you are looking for if you wan't to be a 'wizard'

Summoner is a class on its own and you're not gonna feel very harry potter as a PS. Rest assured you're gonna look for mobs with melee weakness.

Other than that, if you don't want to need to rest EVER - summoner ftw.

And bring a pet... the more the merrier.

He can kinda feel 'wizardy' with a PS since he gets one decent nuke to lvl up with all the way to 85. After that it's a whole different ball game though, as you said.

True but he'll be just fine if he doesn't use this nuke ever and just let the summon do the trick while he stands there collecting adena on lazy mode.

And fortunately for him, if he decides to go this route, he can still /lazymode after he awakens.

thanks for all the tips, went PS, sitting at 59 now. Think I'm keeping her to farm arena, not sure if i will take this class all the way to endgame, i think I'll sub it out into a nuker/archer or something after, and make that a dual class that i can take to endgame. and have that as my main class to adena farm. I spent around 300-400k at lvl 41 i think for shots and spirit ore, still using the same supplies at 59 and have a million in the bank, so i think its fair enough to say after the first rough patch from 40-41 the cash flow starts up.

Unless I'm wrong, if you plan to dual class an archer, your PS is going to at least be forced to hit 85, and if you want to lvl the archer further than that, the Wynn now has to lvl to 99. I'm having doubts right now, but I feel strongly that this is how it works.

For one, Dark Elf is a great race for Wynn Summoner and you really should be ignoring the pre-85 classes. The racial stats and passives matter more than the class, outside of certain few skills you can keep from some. Those pre-Awakened classes are only a means to an end.

And a PS levels probably twice as fast as an Archer with mentor buffs, from my experience. My first alt was a PR and I rerolled it to PS. It's an 89 Wynn, now.

Summoners have dead spots where their leveling prowess isn't nearly as profound as it can be at the lower R Grade levels. I find Feoh was easier to level through 89 than Wynn is, because at that level you can just duo with an Iss Enchanter and pull massive trains to AoE at fairy settlement. Wynn doesn't do that nearly as well as a Feoh. In fact it isn't even close. At 91+ you can do this with a boxed Iss Enchanter if you have decent gear (at least 3*60 TW armor, and of course pay attention to what attribute the mobs have so that you can element your armor strategically).

Of coure, the summoner gets better later on to, but it's not really that bad on feoh. Really depends on what you prefer.
