The stuff that is "missing" are the ill-gotten goods from RMT transactions. Someone posted an email from a GM stating this. They removed the gear and adena rather than banning those players to give them a second change.

Somehow I find this may be true for a couple of people but I highly doubt everyone with this issue is from Gm's deleting it and not emailing the account holder. If they did this they would all receive an email stating so.

Good thing I havent bought gold from russians... Cant trust those ****s, also lil tip ppl buying gold. USE AN ALT ACCOUNT, most the times the person selling the adena may just be someone u know using a chinese website as a middle man o.-

All you gotta do is MSN the chinese site saying ur selling 1bil and they will tell u to login and meet up with whoever is buying. This is a good way to video proof ppl buying gold o.-

For some reason a lot of people don't receive emails. When they get banned, we know NCSoft sends an email. Always. I'm really not sure why a lot of people don't receive them. Perhaps they used a bogus email address or it went into their spam folder. Who can say?

True.. it is a very odd situation all I know is none of my accounts are missing anything and I havent bought any gold. If I did I wouldnt be a Beech as FPS russia would say. Hell I posted a SS months ago of my accnt with a controversial program running and Ncsoft didnt give a shiet..

Not been on my account in a while, but i guess im safe then as ive never bought any adena from anywhere...

Regarding the mail issue:

I have 2 mails i use
1. for everything i sign up for
2. for serious business

#1. didnt give me NCsoft mails, they just never reached the mailbox cause they wasnt in spamfilter and even when i added NC to "white filter" it didnt show up, wich is strange as it worked the year before..

Now i use #2 (gmail) wich works perfect for the "important" stuff

So in conclussion, it might be something wrong with your e-mail..

Don't know, man. I've never been banned but I'm assuming that GMs send emails to get address on the account. I can't image them banning without any kind of notification.

When they are monitoring RMT they know the toons who do the trading or mailings. they don't ban them because they are the bait for the buyers. Player buys adena and it is traded or mailed to them and then they go buy what they want. Elro is right, the purchased adena was confiscated as well as the items used to buy it with. I know this because I had it happen to a clannie a few year back. The GM will log you out and strip you of the things you cheated to get. There should be an email with a warning and why you're missing stuff and most likely a temp ban if that. Reason the posts are being edited is because they don't want you to know that they are still using the 3 strikes policy rather than the new no tolerance policy.

Had a clannie say the same thing, he lost gear purchased from adena he transferred to himself from an alt which came from items he sold from the egg event. He lost all his adena, tw bp & leggings, and the result from his petition was he was told he was suspected of RMT.

I have heard of a couple other similar instances of this recently too, seriously if they wanna make it easy to get reasonably good stuff from events like they did with the eggs, they need to take a 2nd look at their suspicions :/

I have reason to think this clannie isn't telling the entire truth. I don't care how well you think you know your clannies things will surprise you when they get busted. NC does a through investigation and they could even dispute it and send a ticket to support if it they feel it's a mistake. It's most likely not.

Considering a lot of the stuff being sold people share a link of in clan chat before they sell it to share their good fortune, perhaps people shouldn't jump to the belief that others are always lying about selling things on sell-alts

TBH i think it's more likely the people who bought the items RMTed, and those who wind up with the adena due to selling things are the victims

I guess it's all a matter of what you've seen. Nine times out of ten I've seen it as someone who bought adena then bought items and got caught. The items and adena were taken away and the player was warned or given a degree of ban. The player that cheated is out real money,virtual goods and likely an account. Usually it's been some newly registered person crying about their stuff or being banned. If your clannie has been playing awhile like yourself I'm very surprised NC would think he/she was cheating if they never have in the past.

My clannie isn't new I've known them in game for 3ish years, tbh i don't think there is anyone in my clan who is a new new new player

If this was someone who started GoD or after i may have my suspicions but this is a older player (and no I wont say who lol)

Yep.

@ Shic: well, it's the risk of selling things to RMTers. It would be up to NC to separate the true RMTers and the vendors who sell their stuff in the afk shops or AH, without being worried to be stripped one day because some RMTer bought their stuff. I myself am often worried about it, while auctioning my stuff...

I agree. It's not fair that a legit player be punished because a RMTer bought their items. There are things you just can't control period.
