Question Are Latency Reduction Services Okay to Use?

A latency reduction service is basically a proxy service that grants you a different IP signature in order to improve your internet connection speed and information transfer over distance between your computer and our servers. As IPs are fundamentally involved in NCSOFT's EULA policy enforcement, the question arise, is it okay to use latency reduction services when connecting to Lineage II?

Overall, yes, the use of legitimate latency reduction services is permitted.

If you want to use such a service please be sure to only use legitimate and well-established latency reduction services. A legitimate service will likely have their own legal, privacy, and usage terms that explain that their service is not to be used for attempts at bypassing or breaking another company's (like NCSOFT) EULA and Terms of Sale. Such terms would be clearly explained on their website, and the site would likely require you to make an account with them, will have a number of reviews that don't indicate anything fishy, and would probably be free of pop-up ads and sketchy spam elements.

A few well-established, legitimate, and popular latency reduction services are:
  • BattlePing
  • WTFast
  • Leatrix Latency Fix
There are many services out there, so we cannot provide a full list of each legitimate service that can be used. When looking for one please use your best judgment; if you have a doubt, don't use it and look for a different one.
