Default Healer Leveling

Hello guys
Recently i decided to start playing a healer but i don't know how are they supposed to level up. Since they are a support class and not DD i guess they don't have much damage output, and not many people make groups at low levels. Please share your thoughts, i will greatly appreciate them.

Stock up on instance passes.

Make a DD to level yourself and do the non instance dailies, etc.

RMT incredible gear via the L2 store.

As far as grinding goes, well that's hard with how little extended partying goes on in the game at the moment. It's why so many people opt to play DD classes.

I would add a few things to what is mentioned above.

I would suggest you work up the quest chain as usual. Use the XP runes when you're stacked and out in the field grinding quests.

Keep an eye out in LFG as people are still doing low level RAID bosses which are good XP. Healers are almost always welcomed by people organizing groups.

I leveled a cardinal to awakening a while back and that was the method I used. I'm not a hardcore grind type person anymore so it took me "two days" (hours one day more hours the next) to hit 85 and awaken.

Leveling to Awakening is trivial. I leveled a char yesterday to Awakening in 5 hours or less, without using an L2Store Rune or a Fortune Pocket.

The Mentee Headset you get gives you a 100% XP/SP Buff, which you can stack with the 10% Academy Circlet and 50% Mentor XP Bonus.

On top of that, you get XP Runes.

Pre-Awakening leveling should not be a determining factor in anyone choosing to play a class or not. It's trivial.

You should focus on what the game is like Post-Awakening, and particularly at 99+.

While you're "Healer LFG" spamming Instance Passes, a DD is out killing MOBs for hundreds of millions of XP per kill in record times.

There is a huge disparity in support vs. DD leveling. You basically need to level up and gear up as high as possible ASAP and try to find a CP to carry you, because your XP Efficiency without help is going ot be in the toilet compared to just about any DD class.

And I mean carry not in the sense of "weak" but in the sense that you simply won't be capable of approaching DD-level XP Rates once they get gear... on a healer.

I enjoy playing healer... in clan parties. PUGs are too volatile for me. But I can see why someone would be attracted to the archetype. They are fun to play in groups that ride the line and provide a decent amount of work for you to accomplish :-)

Yea, but...

I rather use Fortune Pockets and the like on Sub Classes and stuff. Not on alts I'm just leveling for mentee coin and then deleting before abandoning the account :-P

If I were leveling a boxed healer, I'd just do an Ertheia fighter and then insta-Dual Sub it as a healer instead of leveling an actual healer character from 1-85. Honestly, I'd probably do this for most classes (except those that cannot be subbed, or those that must not awaken - like boxed SoS buffers) these days.

I was actually hoping you'd call me a newb and liar or something lol

There's no reason to abandon the account. Just create another character for your coin grind.

When did they removed the level cap on dual/sub classes?

I actually had fun with leveling the cardinal as I ran into a bunch of actual talking people while hitting raid bosses and stuff.

I hate the whole SoS crap and frankly I wish they'd kill it.
