Now, as you all may know... I am known for talking trash, and getting people to hate me. Its no big secret, people are going to either like me or hate me by the first sentence that comes out of my mouth. But this isn't the point, I can see where trash talking could be fine, but sometimes on these boards to flame someone or to trash talk like some of you people do is just plain ridiculous. Trash talking about Synergy not winning the Seven Signs or whatever is one thing I see. Trash talking because you lost a fight against your enemy, weither it be because they zerged you or because you lost because of a fair fight and they just were better tatically. How come we all can't just say "Gf" after a pvp, no trash talking or anything.. Truthfully, I don't think it could be done, but I'd just rather put out my opinion and my thoughts on it. You'll see from me from now on, no trash talking after a pvp, just a simple "GF", or "Good fight" nothing extra needed..... I challenge the rest of you to try it.

well sir thats big claim! I have heard many trash talkers in my day lay down such claims! *that they will quit trash talking* Hopefully you will set a trend and example for your side and others less trashtalking normally leads to more fun and less people taking things personally.

Although when you pvp a RL friend you do need to throw in a tiny little bit of trashtalk but the playfull known to be joking kind you know? Nice post Candiria and the same Kudos to those NM and Syn members taking the same stance on the trashtalking.

Why is it that when people are "winning" the [censored] just spews out of their mouth like niagra falls, but then when those same people start to lose they complain about the trashtalking?

Depends. Trash talk begets trash talk. I generally just keep my mouth shut but some people need to be put in thier place. Candiria is fairly good at that and it would be a shame to lose such an experienced verbal abuser.

You've never seen me do that once, and the people that know me can tell you that I'd never do that. Everybody knows I hate trash talking, escpecially after fights, win or lose.. it is not needed. And, not to sound like an *** or anything but who the hell are you anyway?

Well I do on occasion talk a little trash here on the boards, or at some of the other "PvP" events in the game, you know sieges, and clan hall fights and such.

We are Neutral with regard to NM though. (Isn't that who you're with? or is it the other guys?)

wait a sec, what does me being neutral to NM or Syn have to do with talking [censored]? I can talk [censored] even if we're not at war... although I suppose if you cross a certain line with it then we probably would be at war. lol

Hey.. didn't on I see a cool screenie of you on that other site just yesterday? yeah, that's right, posted by ole Harv. Nice!

ROFL.

Dude, my posts weren't to you, they were to PK..

well except the last one, it was a response ot you, but the others before it were not.

FTR we're on the same page with [censored] talking. Between friends, it's one thing, I talk [censored] to my buds all the time, no one ends up butthurt.

Talking [censored] to a competitor (ie.. PWNED, NOOBS, you're neutral, carebear, etc, etc) is just poor sportsmanship and makes a person appear as though they are trying to compensate for being underdeveloped in the groin region.

So yeah, we have the same outlook on [censored] talking.

this thread bores me...speaking of trashtalking...bighands if you never made a forumn account, and spammed every thread made, would anybody even know who you are? Anyone reading the gustin forumns from any other server must think Bighands and HG are something of importance? Perphaps people should start making names for themselfs somewhere other then the forumns for once.

I disagree, I think the forums are just as important as ingame. I've gotten quite a few recruits who joined because they saw my posts here and agree with the way I play the game, and the style with which I play it.

You're right on the money though, I don't have any impact on the game whatsoever, just a lil nobody with an unimportant alliance that doesn't do much of anything.

BTW - GF at Dion last week.

Note - for those of you who are a little slow, and still haven't figured it out after nearly 2 years: Yes, I can post in the forums from work, NO, I can't play the game from work.

LOL the only reason most people are "known" on this server is because they cheat, scam or are walking around with ebayed +10 A grade weapons. I don't mind not being in the "known" catagory, thank you.

my point is you do alot of talking and very little walking.....people will care more what you have to say when you accomplish something...try it.

yes it was a gf at dion last week. However define the term goodfight....i have no problem saying GF when it was a GF, but must you say it every time. Is it actually a GF if a raid group ganks 1 person hunting by themselfs. Perphaps it is if he gets a chance to fight back, however maybe its not if they kill him while he has mobs on him. Is that actually what you would call a good fight? think about it.....You guys can carebear it up and hold each others hands and keep all the castles for as long as you want....and we wont have any real good fights or sieges.

To me a gf is needed to be said when its actually a gf. You say it to show sportsmanship. "Hey you beat me this time, next time i might beat you"=GF. However is a zerg against a helpless healer actually a GF. I wouldnt say GF if i was the healer or the zerg. Many of you, use the term "GF" as an attack on the person you are fighting.

For example Raid group rolls the healer...Everone in the raid group will imediately spam white chat with gf. Is this really needed to be said? If anyone is gonna say gf it would be the person that died. The only time the victor can use GF without it being offensive is when its actually a gf and they are acknowleding there attempt.

Thats not completely true. You're explaining how people get known for being scum.

To me, you are a nobody if I've never fought alongside you or against you. If you dropped me with an 8k crit, I know you as a threat. If you lose and spam chat with trash, I know you as an idiot. If you 9/10 times say good fight win or lose, I know you as someone I respect. War is the best place to get to know people in this game.

Heh. I'm guilty of that. Personally I think its hilarious to say GF after zerging the hell out of one guy.
