Another Newbie to server post

Hi all, I'm not looking for help or anything but making some friends on the server would be nice, or possibly catching up with old ones. I have not played L2 since CB&OB because I decided to stick with DAOC where I played mostly on Nimue & Mordred for 4+ years and WOW on Archimonde for about a year or so plus some other MMO's as well. So anyway, if you know or knew Malli, Malliliran, Mithras or Rillifane (my usual names) feel free to say hi, or if you are just feeling friendly feel free to do the same. It gets kinda lonely in the desolate newbie areas! Take care all

:Edit: oops quick question too if anyone can indulge me.. is there a such thing as customizing UI's for L2? I was just poking around and not seeing anything on google
If there are no UI mods, is it possible to map abilities to your keyboard, not Fkeys? haven't looked too hard yet as I have only been playing 2 days and am only level 21 but I see the need coming. THNX!

Hello Rillifane and fare most Welcome back to Lineage II.

I'm afraid that on your questionon the UI's I'm unable to answer...I don't think there is an option to do custom keys except for the F keys...At least I haven't come accros those options.

SO far it's 11 slots on 10 bars of F key functions to do the tricks and switching with ALT + Fkey to get to the right skills required.

As for IG friendship, should you come across Leyanire of Orvieta or even see Aarika in shop feel free to drop a line

I know the feeling of strater towns and how deserted they seem at days, but he You won't be there for much too long Already past 20 so time to visite some main land senaries

I think Ive seen somewhere that you can use your num pad instead of the F1 keys. Pretty sure it was on the NCsoft support web site. Ill have to check. As for the rest of the keys dont know

As far as UI goes, I do not think there are any nor can you load it in game like Everquest could. I might be mistaken though as I am fairly new as well.

Almost all your windows are able to be moved around and somewhat manipulated. Like your character bar can be stretched and relocated anywhere on the screen. Your Skills window can be turned from verticle to horizontal using the little clicky at the bottom of that window (looks like an outlined circle with an arrow on it pointing in a direction). Current buffs window can also be moved around.

When I play the game, I barely use keyboard. Like the map. In bottom right tool tray, if you open it and then minimize, you get a small icon like on your desktop. Just clicking the icon will open map again.

With the ALT command you can open several things like switching between your Fkey slots (1-10 with each 11 slots),

ALT+C will open/close the actions window where you can find all actions your char can do

ALT+B will open/close the free community section of the game where you can find clan information, personal e-mail and notices

ALT+T to open/close your char's status window where you can see all info on defence, attack etc.

ALT+N if you are in a clan it will open/close the clan options window with the list of all members and who's online + clan details such as level and leader's name

ALT+K opens/closes your skills window in case you should want to swiftly change a FKey function or directly use a spell from there on or check what you alreday have learned as active and passive skills.

ALT+M opens/closes the area map

ALT+X will open/close the gaming options window where you can choose to adjust certain in game features both audio/video as Gaming interface.

ALT+R will open/Close the window with macro creation options. There you can drag in commands to follow each other up automatically with just one click of the FKey you place it on. Good for exemple buffs or combo's

The tab will open/close up your inventory

Other useful things to know is the double right click on thename of a party member from the party list. It will automatically put you in assist on his mob and make your char attack it.

A simple right click on the shots on your Fkey will activate auto reuse of those shots which allows you to give a free hands on those. Usefull for tanks and mystical attackers.
