What to Play?

I am returning to L2 after a long hiatus. From prelude through C2 I was playing on the Devianne server as an Abyss Walker (Quanjix). I am looking to play on Kain but have a few questions as to what classes are out there and what classes are a bit more sparse.

I am debating between an OL, WC, AW, TH, or Necro. I play at odd times, sometimes for short periods other times for much longer. So, soloability is important.

Any suggestions? Sorry I haven't kept up with the updates so any feedback is great.

WC is a party type toon.

AW and TH can solo but tend to party alot more.

Necro is great for soloing, but is a very expencive class to play..(my main on erica was a 69 necro)

a acher would be best for solo, or nuker. healers can solo pretty well too in the right set up.

if you'd planing to not be on very much, I'm on alot (alotttttt) and I have a freind that works nights so he gets on doring the morning.

I'd suggust that you get your self a second acc, and make a SE on it so w/e class you go, you can solo it at any point.

Also in C5 AW/PW/TH will be geting alot of boost to their PvP playiblity. so is HE/PR/SR. and tanks to.

go OL...i could be wrong but....i can't find them anywhere....i've even looked under rocks and the all the usual dark places orcs go when their feeling extra depressed

Orc mage > almost 20

Haven't decided for sure but I am leaning towards OL. I would go WC but it seems to be a FOTM class. Thanks for the replys.

On a side note any clans, with a few low lvl players, looking to take in an Orc shaman?

We have two OL's, most high level clans have at least one because they are big trouble in PVP and sieges.

Welcome back! Man thats a broad list of classes you got there! Some melee, dagger, mages.... good grief. Is there some playstyle in particular you want to play as?

Overlords are good in siege and stuff. But there is a reason that you dont see a bunch of high-leveler Overlords! They level up SO slowly its not even real. Thats why I'm going Shilien Knight. At least they have a fairly decent level up speed.

Heh, well I had played several classes in this game prior. Typically I go w/ straight DD or more of a Jack-of-all-trades (WC/OL).

Anyway, I went OL. Doing fairly well despite the massive soloing I have been forced into doing. One thing is for sure the xp grind is no where near as bad as it was in Prelude. I am nearing a point in lvling where previously it took me a year.

yeah dude the grind sucks, but now is alot easier then it was C2-1, prelude.

just wait till you have to hit 66 tho.

I got form 1-52 in just over 1 month. but I also have a 72 SE at my back.

Yep overlord isn't too bad to level up in the beginning. Had no problems myself getting up to 60 with lots of solo, but mostly small groups. It was originally an alt character for me, so I finally started playing him full time, and just love the playstyle of him. Above 60 it has really depended on the clan though for me.

Overlords can be a lot of fun, all depends on how you decide to play them.

Thanks for the invite, but I have been off Orc island a while now. Lvl 61 atm - original post was like a month ago.

sweet, stygin, and darkside are the best on the server IMO.

stay away from darkrian and sithsamaria's ally.

Anyway, Sweat is not really that good! They are a big ally, but are cheaters...errhmm...there is enough evidence if you look elsewhere.

Stygian is big, I hear many things abou them so I am not gonna let the ball loose and tell u something I am not sure about.

Darkside, well...heh...they have a lot of ppl that don't like them, but still may be a good alliance for you.

Again, if interested PM me on these forums and we would be very happy to have an OL.
