Does this mean I should turn Hero chat back on? I turned it off in the first week because it was just non-stop trash talk ... and not even helpful trash.

Not entirely! I found out france beat Brazil through the hero chat. It can be useful after all!

meh sometimes they're selling gear i can use and i know that since there are so many Inv heros we can sometimes get them to advertise for us. That aside most hero's don't use it that often so it doesn't really get in the way much.

just like you turn on any chat. It is the chat for those who have become heros for the server. It is server wide and dark blue in color.
