Nightshade

Hi all.
I was just wondering what role NCSoft indend for Nightshade.
It has low Pdef for a tank, low Patk for DD.

He has Hate so it means it could be a tank. Heal is absolutely strange.

So, what it's good for? no tank, no healer (just HP transfer), no DD.

Where I can use it.

I believe NC meant this to be the "party" summon. Haven't got a PS to test it, but I believe C4 testing noted it was fairly decent if your in a party. (Expensive maybe, but not useless.)

The nightshade in a party is an "OH [censored]" tank when you need a second UD or just plain need aggro off the main tank fast, and it is the best non-strain healer in the game.

nightshade is no better tanking than any other summon except his marginally higher hp. His main role is a healer. He is excellent at that and can easily replace a primary healer and often does. The only class that compete in raw healing power is the bishop and that's mainly due to the pure variety of healing skills bishops get. (note a bishop + a nightshade is better than 3 healers from other classes).

The hate skills are nice but not terribly usefull in PVE. It is in reality a PVP skill and in that respect it works great. The rarity of the PS makes it unexpected and even those who know what it does are often disrupted for at least a few moments.
