Negative delta time!

Hi all. I have an AMD ATHLON 64 3200+, 1Gb RAM, GeForce 7800 GT, Win XP with SP2. When i start the game it crashes with critical error:

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 2007 MHz with 1023MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT (9131)

Negative delta time!

History: UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

I've read in posts that cpu's with dual core have got these problems but my cpu is not dual core.. Any ideas how to fix it??

You can try installing the latest version of DirectX and/or deleting the L2 system folder. You will want to move any screen shots you want to keep first.

You could try an older vidoe card driver as well.

I've seen this only on rare occasions with single core, make sure you have the latest Chipset drivers for your motherboard and go here:

And download and install the

My motherboard chipset doesn't have drivers.. i have ASUS A8R32-MVP DELUXE. I installed the AMD Athlon™ 64/FX Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) 1.3.2.16 but it didn't fix the problem.. I also noticed that i have problems with other games too! Tha games run faster than they suppose to and after a period they stop running for 2 sec and then continiue. Any ideas?

Go into your bios and DISABLE the Cool n Quiet option (look in your manual)

i've the same board, i would suspect this is the reason.

I am having the same problem and I have done all the same things and still no luck. The ONLY way I can get int othe game is if I disable one of my SLI cards and only run single SLI. What is the whole point of Dual SLI if I cant run a game ion them. What did they do differently in C4 that worked now in C5 it doesnt?? ? ?
