I've been playing a bishop for about a year now, and suffice to say it's getting boring. While I enjoy being the class that everyone loves to have around and that few people play, I want a change of pace - I want to be a class that can deal out some damage and level solo (something I haven't done in an eternity, not since my bishop was <lvl 20).
I've always heard that SH's are great for leveling solo, and that they can do it fast. But then again, all the 'solo' SH's I see have a high-level SE out-of-party giving them WM, emp3, and recharge. I don't have any high-level boxed characters to put to use. So is that the reason why SH's can level so well on their own? I've always wanted to play an archer (HE, optimally) but that seems like a class that would be difficult to level solo past like 55 or so. See I want to be able to have a character that I can level in the downtime when I log onto my bishop, but can't get groups because no one is on, and for a change of pace to my monotonous healing game. Any advice?

I'd still say SH, because they do not have much downtime at all when you hunt the "right" mobs for your level. All nukers can "solo" well when they have a buffer/recharger running behind them out of party. But the SH actually can also exp quite well totally solo, because he can reduce mp downtime with his btm skill. Necromancer has that, too - but the necromancer costs a lot to play because of cursed bone cost (death spike).
Or maybe try a summoner, if you can adapt to that playing style. Basically, a summoner and his summon are a duo, healer/buffer plus DD.

I actually had started a would-be summoner some time ago, and LE that I had planned to stick a bow and light armor on, using the unicorn boxer to tank in PVE, and the mirage or whatever the nuker is for PVP. However, I began to get doubts with an effective build for this character, since the damage with the bow (or even a 2H sword) would be relatively low. It also seems pricey, since I'd have to buy crystals, arrows (if I did use a bow), soul-shot for my weapon, and beast soul-shot.
I still want to play a summoner, but it just seems impractical, and I'm not even entirely sure how well an ES could work in PVP, since I would like to be able to dish out the damage in PVP for once.

[/ QUOTE ] It's bad idea. [ QUOTE ] The Mystic class is penalized in decreased Accuracy with increased casting time when using a bow or spear. [/ QUOTE ]

A bow isn't a good choice for an ES - regardless, they're a fun and relatively fast class to level; especially if you don't have a CH or a buffbox.

hmm all class's request something from a other so leave's mages in a place to level without someone other but without recharge it will take forever to gain some mp's back also buff's are needed to level fast other they just so independent as others
