Manually converting c5 PTS to Live

I am a college student and my school blocks the port used by the update server however i am still able to connect to the servers to play on by using l2.exe instead of lineageII.exe.

All was going well until the c5 update. without an updated client it is impossible to play on the servers. Updating through the auto-updater is impossible so ive ben trying to download through fileplanet... with a maximum of 7kbps even on the subscriber servers it will be impossible for me to download an almost 3gb file (the network automatically disconnects every 24 hours interrupting the download)

the link ive seen to convert the PTS (downloaded before i came to school) to a live client is broken. Is there another place to download this?

currently ive duplicated my pts client and been frankenstein~ing in files from my c4 live client. i got to the point where i can get connected to the live server select screen but when i try to join it says "The protocol version is different, please continue" any idea how to fix this?oO

ive already tried to get my school to open up the port that the updater uses and been given a few very firm NOs

i download at 400+ kb/s and that isn't on subscriber servers.

Fileplanet has its own DLM.. so if you d/c you can still resume the download.

OMG 400+ kb/s??
I only manage to catch 130kb/s and i have a 2 mb line!

I've got the exact same problem as you flcon, i can login fine (or could before C5 anyway) but as soon as I try to connect to the update server i get "your connection to the update server has been terminated"

I've downloaded from fileplanet and installed C5, but i still cannot play the game until i run the updater, i am not sure what else I can do (I am already going through plaync support).

The weird thing is my college is telling me that all the ports are open, so I am not sure what is blocking me as I have checked my firewall/routers.

That guide wouldnt do anything because it still requires you to do a fullcheck, which i cant do because, as i said, i cannot connect to update server

anyway got a clanmate to send me his system folder from updated c5 client and overwrote the PTS system folder and all is working well.
