Where is the social zone?

I am new to the game and have been part of many MMO i am looking to see some higher lvl toons and maybee chat it up to get a feel for the game and the classes. unfrtunatly looks are a huge part of my enjoyment of a game and its important in the classes and race i choose. I am starting in the Dark Elf noob zone. where would i go to see lots of players is there a social zone and how would a noob get there?

Wow thank you alot. im here now.. Um i have to say the hundred dwarfs sitting selling goods is a little depressing. a broaker system seems better. that is just odd seeing that many just sitting there. Well now im here no to find non afk people

Try porting to Monster Derby Track from the Gatekeeper (it's free). There may be more online people there than in Giran.

BTW, this may not be the best time to search online people. Kinda late on a weekday for America players and working/studying hours for euros and Russians. Most people is probably sleeping, working or at school/Uni.

This may not be the best time to search online people. Kinda late on a weekday for America players and working/studying hours for euros and Russians. Most people is probably sleeping, working or at school/Uni.

L2 is good for that, you can sell something 2mil even tho someone else might be willing to sell it 1mil

L2 is alot market oriented, if you think that sucks go back to wow, where market play is inexistant

Oh wow... first off sorry for the name similar. wasnt me...

As for the comments about the market. I do not play wow. i cant stand wow. i ment no offense to you so no need to tell me to leave. I have no problem with the idea. the problem i have is that a zone compleatly covered with afk sitting dwarfs dosent look good to me. i think there are better ways to handel that.
Every game has its pros and cons. no game is perfact except for EVE (just kidding) and all grow wth time andhopefully get better not worst (IE SWG)
What brings me to L2 is that i realy enjoy the thought of the castle things which is diffrent from what i am use to. and i love the look of the characters. Yes there are few character options look wise and the graphics ar enot perfact but the Look is great. i hope to give it a good try. I am reading as much as i can and tryin to talk to as many as i can as well. I enjoy talking to people in game to get a feel from the game. For me its the best way. the social aspect of these games is a big part of why i play mmo.
thank you all for your help i found the arena area and think ill have no trouble finding the info i need.
Hope to see you all in game. as soon as i figure out what class works best for me and i get started.
