Well it seems the fix for the "stupid" spreading out mobs seems to be the until now useless SA wideblow. Now in a corner i hit everyone no matter how they spread out. Even if they shift it dooesn't seem to matter much. Just a FYI.

If you're in a corner, you don't need Wideblow.

If you're up against a wall, you might, but it's not usually neccessary either.

Even if your in a corner, you still end up missing mobs.

Even if your in a very tight crevice, where the mobs HAVE to come in on top of each other, you can still miss mobs.

Already confirmed that just the other day with a polearm class (my own alt), and no SA Wideblow on the weapon.

Aye, wideblow will make a difference here, even when poling in corners. Ofcourse, if your pulls are like 5 mobs or something then it has no difference.

Poling on MoS with clean tallum glaive is good enough. Never liked the Wideblow SA cause Critical Stun really rocks.

P.S: A grade pole's SA's really suck.

Critical Stun, meh its not that good imo. If there is enough DPS in the pole party the mobs will die in a few secs anyway.

you dont kill x4-x6 HP mobs at 70+ in a feew secs, unless your party is 9 polers and all fully buffed.

Get a pole with SA: wideblow and pray sometime in the next century you get crit stun augment.

They take the full spread of the corner (and a little past it) with just 1 1/2 or 2 catacomb rooms, and yes, I can hit them all - no wideblow involved.

im poling in archaib labs atm and after 1 round (all mobs) i run in corner where ee + sws waits ... its still not possible to hit all mobs same time w/o SA long or wide blow maline..

and even if ur exact in corner, mobs stand behind/beside u sometimes...

btw, sws do a good job with pole/wb

Frenzy cycling? 2-3 Destros can do it pretty well, provided they have a runner and buffers/healers.

2 Destros can duo in many areas with Frenzy cycling and get nice exp with it.

For people without masteries, wide blow was always the SA of choice. I'll try pavel sometime (if I can bring myself to stop huffing for sealstones) and let you know .. but, as I said, I was doing fairly open walls and corners in cruma without a problem.

crumas snipes = ultimate todo 40 -50 in shortest time
but i will watching u w/o highest buffs doing that in open field im doing that before plvl was named ,lol

but pavel... hmmm outside u get more pvp than mobs for pulling whole area,lol

inside labs is hardcore... but most fun cuz no1 ever do that...needs at least 2 peps with buffers....

snipes suck, i just pulled up all of branded catacomb on my warlord a few weeks back when dusk won, had the whole place to myself, pull up 6 rooms at a time solo, with no healer and prophet/se buffers sitting outside cata, did 40-54 in less then 2 days

also tested it out again in C6 to see what this whole polearming nerf is, and i did just fine, powerleveled my bro like 37-40, doing about 60% a buff round

It isn't solo if you have outside buffs.

But yes, I'm still fairly good pulling single or double rooms in the catacomb on my dwarf, but I only have lowbie SE buffs - if I had Resist Dark and top level DW/Focus and more than VR2 I think I could probably still take more rooms at once. They do align in the corner nicely if you run into it properly.

I haven't tried pavel quite yet as I want to stay down in branded for the stones in the mornings - but in the afternoons branded is full, so I might try it tonight.

On the inside corners of cruma (shaped like this: \__ ) the snipes very happily align all to one side, on the outside corners (which I was using, and which are a lot more like this ____ ) they mostly arrange in a ~90* arc, although they sometimes spread out if you hit the wall funny. For example, you can pole really well if you stand at the FOOT of a rock, but if you climb it even a little you'll get surrounded. o.O

If in doubt: Jerk and find a better corner.

sure it is, soloing suggests that you aren't getting any help fighting, or healing/etc and aren't in a party.

besides, its how most people "solo" nowadays anyway, im glad i took the time to make some buffers in C4, i cant believe i ever leveled with out em ....

"soloing" insinuates that you have no help whatsoever, including outside buffers. someone with an equal character and no boxed buffer would not be able to pull equivalent groups; this is why it is not considered true soloing.
