maj - better stun resist (bd has low resistance to stun, i wouldnt go with maj because it favours classes with much higher con than a BD - such as a dwarf or human fighter)
tal - better damage, gives attack speed and some resistances id go with that |

I would say, as often, it depends on your playstyle.
Majestic, as said, will give you some more stun resist, but being already low con (and the set gives you -2 con anyway), you ll still get stunned a lot dont worry It s also better Pdef, and +4% p atck, which is always a nice plus. Most BDs i know that use majestic, often are used as "tanks" or main assits, and use it in combination with Health Duals or the Sgrade duals (which give + HP and + CP). Tallum heavy will give you slightly less pdef, but the +8% attack speed bonus is very nice for a BD. Considering you ll have dance of Fury almost always with you (and hopefully haste2 buff/pots), using tallum with haste duals, your dps can be *very* nice, making of you some kind of secondary DD, also helping dance faster/faster skill refresh. Also the weighth bonus might seem like a detail, but with the low con you have you ll be very happy to be able to carry more shots and supplys thanks to it. |

Maj heavy looks horrible. The rest has already been said about both.

Your playstyle dictates your gear. Are you the BD in a melee party who is a DD in the party? If so Tallum would be for you. Are you the BD in a mage party who basically just dances and picks up loot? If so, Majestic. Some BD's solo alot or duo/trio in which case Tallum would be your best bet. If you level in archer parties, it depends. Do you and the sws go hit your own mob? If so, Tallum. Or do you and the sws just sing/dance/pick up loot in which case, again, Maj Hvy.

also plated leather would give you higher levelling efficiency (doing more damage with each hit)

Tallum has higher DPS as Plated, well at least according to L2calc and with buffs.
I went Tallum due to a bit higher DPS and weight increase. Though I play mostly support (low chances of getting stunned). For PVP Majestic is a lot better. More P.Def and Stun resistance. |
