Default Internal Error?

Guy/Gals

L2.exe failed to launch and could see there was a number of people having the same trouble.
I tried all the checks that were mentioned.
I uninstalled L2 - reinstalled, but half way in I get this message

Feature - GameFiles
Componant - Default component
File
D:/data2.cab
Error - An in ternal Error occurred

What is this about ?

I formatted PC around a month ago, I have no spywear/AGV nothing like that.
Starting to annoy
Any idea?

Its the original CD so If I need to DL the game , is there a specific site I can use.
Thank you

Default Re: Internal Error?

Run a FULL Scandisk check (with thorough and automatic selected)

The reason for errors similare to that have always been:

Firewall Interfeering
Anti-virus giving false positive and detecting l2.exe as a virus
Corrupted LineageII install/files
Hardrive Failure
Computer start to fail.

LineageII has a HIGH habit of producing oddities before anything else will show similare things happening, this is indeed the case even when a computer is starting to show signs of failing (in one case just recently, the hardrive crashed on someone a while after the problem started occuring and every fixed mentioned before hand couldn't get it to work)
