SE pve in light armor

Hi,

i need some kind of advice, my shillien oracle soon goes to se. So i was wondering is it worth to put on him light armor and dagger or duals ? (I'm talking about soloing only)
I was thinking abou PL set and maybe DS.
Maybe someone tried it and can share knowledge ?

solo is hard on SE, best if you play a DD in duo / trio (that way you dont take most dmg and you can have robes coz mp, cast speed > def)
you can use nuke also with DD set up on undeads till cca 45lv

Just get a wolf to help you and you can solo fine as an SE.

First of all im not corrupted and still true legit player and even no boxing.

I already have wolf, but at this lvl he still dies very fast on green mobs its about 150 p def with top wolf armor. So i just was wondering, maybe i can find and easier way before may wolf gets stronger

have you try killing undead monster? your skill disrupt undead should still work well till low-mid lvl 50. mp will be an issue since skill uses 30mp you can't afford the mp to just nuke the monster to death. What I usually get is light armor like plated leather for my low 4x SE. For weapon I pick a homu sword 110patck/101 matck add acumen SA (+15%cast speed) . IF u like a dagger get a mage dagger call "soulfire dirk" 86patck/91matck add manaup SA(+mp 30%). You would use bless spiritshot and 1-2 nuke using disrupt undead. That should take 1/2 or 3/4 of the undead hp then rush in and melee the monster with sword or dagger. I was able to solo this way to lvl 52 killing mostly undead monster- you can fight other normal monster (kill slower) too it just this setup is good for 1-2 nuke then all melee. GL.. I also try out heavy armor too, it work well if you have acumen weapon.

A buffed wolf lvl 40 with top armor will have well above 200 patk. I am guessing your wolf is still a low lvl. Make sure it is about the same lvl as the SE using it, use another noob to help you lvl it up to the SE. Also, the SE needs a melee weapon. A dark screamer will work fine in Cg and a Kris is best in Bg (Focus SA). Attack with the wolf and you will lvl no problem. Later, the wolf will far surpass your attacking abilities and become a HUGE asset to you.

What lvl is your SE and what lvl is the wolf you're trying to use?

Your wolf is by no means a Tank. and Won't be till he becomes a Black wolf at level 55. Till then he should be nothing more but a DD partner. Grab some light armor and a Dagger some ss and go hunting with your wolf as parter DD not a tank. Use wind shackle it's your friend. With your buffs you should do fine till 52.

at 52 you need 2 decide if your going stay with light armor or go Robes.

If you going Light armor just keep doing what you been doing til the wolf is 55+ at that point you become a Summoner.


If your going Robes then you need to find parties and group till the wolf is 55+ at that point you become a Summoner.

Plated leather set and focus duals or focus 2 handed sword I would go with. Dagger is nice but you lose alot of accuracy and will miss alot on mobs with high evasion. If you have teh extra adena goto giran armor shop and pickup a karmian set for when your primary role is healer. I think the karmian set is only like 600k from giran armor shop. The plated leather set you can only get boots from armor shop. You will have to craft or buy the top and bottom on the market.

I used my plated leather set well into my 70s on my SE its a handy set for when your group role required little or no healing. The +4 str is nice.

many many options here my goal atm is 55 lvl and wolf's 55 lvl.
Yeah indeed he couldn't tank :/ so for solo light + weapon and green mobs it will be fine to me

You don't miss that much and the Critts with Focus buff are nice. I used a Dark Screamer with focus and Theca Light Armor on my SE at Curma and guess what in a duo with a Melee I was tanking. C grade is so easy it's not even funny.

I played with +6 Theca and +9 Berserker Focus and was able to kill white/yellow mobs normal HP solo at amazing speeds. With 1 more damage dealer catacombs was very nice.
Tried duals at Bgrade. Doable, but harder. I switched to robes and pure healer/buffer gears.

To the OP: Don't expect it to be easy though. Light Armor and daggers work OK, but expect yourself to pop potions / healing and by no means go to hard mobs. Stick to greens. I'd honestly, at lower levels as yours, stick to killing undead with Disrupt undead. It doesn't fail that much at 40, and it's faster. Herb dropping areas help with the mp and downtime.

But SOLOING an SE is NEVER an easy task. Bear that in mind. Especially as you go higher in levels, SE's do not get a better undead spell (which I find REALLY ridiculous), and Disrupt will fail quite a lot.

If you can find a party that is willing to take you with them, that is and will always be the best way for you to level.

Or get a Wolf I can solo a 8 Mob Room in the catta Witches with my Black Wolf at 60+ and I don't even help kill mobs I just sit and heal

I thought this idea sounded cool, and my friends and I decided to begin alts tonight, so I made a dark elf mystic.

All I can say is.. O M G the casting is slow in light armor. I mean, its slow to begin with, but.. I never expected it to be that slow lol. I'm typing this while waiting for a heal to complete! XD

It's a lot better in BW light Armor and +4 Witt Dye. I don't even use a Acumen weapon when hunting with my wolf and it works fine.

Be aware that you get the light armor masteries, which increase casting speed a bit (to only somewhat slower than robes) at level 20, after the first class change. Before that, you cast VERY slow in anything but robes.
