We have been experimenting with new buffs that warsmiths got in gracia update.
According to my previous knowledge all summons supposed to have light armor and blunt weapon (for physical attack). But none of the warsmith buffs gives them p.def bonus. We were thinking Tan buff should do so, but no. Sharpen buff works and adds some p.attack to servitors, but it is supposed to enhance bladed weapons. Buff for blunt weapons doesn't work. Any ideas why this is so?

I can somehow image attaching spikes to an animal or even sharpening its teeth with a file. But hard tanning the skin on a living thing is a big no no!
![]() And seriously, noone but NCSoft Korea dev team knows an answer to this question.

nope, just regular servitors.
someone could test golems and pets. eg wolf can have armor eqipped so some tannig would be acceptable... in a roleplay way of thinking

i've tested it on mechanical golem and it's the same, only sharpen edge works.

edit: right, servitor buffs Anyways, where can i read up on the new party buffs warsmiths have ?

hey Elarion, maybe I can help some.
![]() I have 6 new player/etc buffs, and 2 new golem buffs. The golem buffs sadly only work on GOLEMS, woulda loved to been able to buff my wolf but oh well... The new player buffs are 3 offensive, and 3 defensive buffs, but only 1 type of each can be applied at once. For example, if you have Sharpen Edge buff, and get Spike buff, it replaces sharpen edge completely. Your allowed 1 weapon and 1 armor only. They are single target buffs so I can buff each person individually with whatever they need (like a PP/SE). The only have a 10min duration though, compared to normal buffers. Hope that clears up some of the questions others have asked here. What do they do? Sharpen Edges: Increases Patk and Crit rate of bladed weapons. (swords, fists, poles, daggers) Spike: Increases Patk and Stun landrate of Blunt weapons Bowstring: Increases Patk and Range of bow/crossbow weapons. Hard tanning: Increases Pdef and Evasion of Light armor Embroider: Increases Pdef and MP Regen of Robe armor Case Harden: Increases the Pdef of Heavy armor Again, only 1 offensive and 1 defensive buff allowed on any person at once. Now, about the servitors, I also thought they'd benefit from the blunt buff...but my golems only gain anything from the blades buff too. I have no idea why they suddenly consider servitors attacks to be 'sword' type, when they've been 'blunt' since C1...but oh well, at least something works for them. My golems get no defensive buff either, nor does any servitor I've tried it on. Actually, I havent tested that on Wolf/Pet yet, but I'm confident it wont benefit either. It almost seems like pet/summon/servitor 'light armor' is considered something different now, and not light armor at all. Interesting, but as far as I know, this is the only time we've ever been able to buff something specifically based on your armor, so maybe they just resemble 'light armor' traits but were really 'pet armor' all along. (In the case of my golems, it's more like no armor than light anyhow )....Hope this helps some of you guys who've not played around with WS buffs yet. I've tested the WS buffs on Hatchlings and Wolves myself, the Light Armor buff does not work there, even when their equipable armors are Light Armor type.
Sharpen Edges does work though (but at least the weapons for Hatchling and Wolves I know is Sword type so that one is at least right).

NC has not and is not changing either our Servitors weapon/armor type.
This only means they messed-up with the new CT2 buffs given to WS : it's almost old news, knowing that it took them 6 chronicles to fix the OL buff issue! So give them some time, like 2-3 years so they can fix the WS buffs, with the appropriate buff boosting our sevitor weapon and armor attribute. Until then, keep hunting blunt weak mobs with your servitor over anything, whenever you can. ![]() ######EDIT ########## Made a quick dmg test so all understand that it's not a servitor weapon type issue, just another Servitor buff bugged code. http://l2pets.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=4814#4814

one thing I think is unfair is that there is no boost for mage weapons.
