Alexkid22 is an unknown quantity at this point
Wink CP aka Combat Point

is CP according to ones HP or is it dependent on the class?

suggestion: classes that can not dish out a lot of damage should have a lot of CP! makes perfect sense to me...

especially when dagger and nuker classes and 1-2 shoot u....

Sorry, but i think this sugestion doesn´t make sense.
If this was applied a destro should have a pitiful cp pool and a pp an enormous cp pool.

Better yet, in my opinion, is the cp simply disapear and joined to the hp:
- cp=1000 + hp=2000 : HP=3000, this is just a example.
I think a bit silly this concept of CP: one have some extra life with fighting another player, but not with you are fighting against a monster.

Well, i think it makes sense. With the CP going down, you know someone has hit u and can take measures against it. It's like a warning system, as I see it.

If someone hits you, the hp goes down, and you see that you are under attack.

The cp gauge is redundant, as far i can see.

Or everyone can play a dagger and just bypass it anyhow...

they should just remove CP entirely, and hence remove the stupid CP pots

then nerf PVP damage accordingly

if people want heals, they either spend a butt load on qhp or get a god **** healer.

I remember when they added CP, I liked it, it gave me a little advanced warning for healing (since pvp dps is so high, especially now). What confused the hell out of me was the dagger skills they added that bypass CP... Isn't that the point of CP? O.o

Hah, and here's me thinking they were constitution points because they were directed related to the class' CON.

con is directly related to it, but the base value of CP is dependant on different classes, e.g. gladiators have the most CP in comparison to other classes.

If they nerfed PVP damage then the original need for CP would be nullified... CP pots are such an imbalancing factor against low DPS classes...

this way it means that the only way to recover from damage is the slow healing potions, the expensive qhp, a self heal skill, or a healer.... this makes the game much more reliant on PEOPLE instead of items... it would make even a prophet in party an important asset to pvp since their heals would actually matter

cp is based on con and race but certain classes/races got boosted cp over the updates with warrior classes (glad, tyrant, destro,wl,dorfs) getting the major grunt of said boosts

i have believed the base CP to be based on Base HP/2
this was the ratio i had always seen in my early levels, and even in later levels, i don't know if it is affected by Boost HP passive or not.

the reason it's not directly added to HP is a PVE balance issue.
also, some things which affect HP do not affect CP, like steal essence.

if CP were to be added directly to HP, then bonuses would be crazy big.
Bless the Body, Chant of Victory... would increase HP by a hoard...
Dwarves and Destroyers would be Monsters.

the CP was added specifically for pvp so i think it's fine the way it is.
i remember when it first appeared, just a small yellow line...
i was level 30 or so then, so it took a while to figure out what it was for.

As long as daggers exists, a raise of CP wont help... they go directly on your HP...

yup as my post said along the updates certain races/classes got boosted CP (kameal is another example) but warriors got the biggest grunt of CP boost which iirc was about a 20% boost one chron and a 2x boost the next chron
