Lets do a fun ol' fashioned remember when thread with memories of L2 over the years. I always enjoy seeing other peoples posts.

Remember when you had to click on a soulshot for it to equip and there was no auto use on anything? You would sit there and hit the F(x) key over and over and over again. Man that sucked!!! Talk about carpal tunnel....

Also remember when Antharas hadnt even been killed once yet? Then once someone actually did it and found that it really wasnt that hard you had ever clan on every server trying to do it all the time....

Remember when you would be afraid to run to Talking Island port because there was always a red waiting for people? Or when you would fall off a boat, or swim to Gludin?

The funniest thing I remember is when I logged in for the first time ever and there were a ton of "he's outside the west gate, get him" shouts and going out to see what's going on (TI village), only to get 1 shot by a red archer and over 40 people chasing him....

remember when fishing was first introduced, and people were everywhere, in every river, pool, lake, and even off of heine and giran walkways fishing...
remember the first time a monster spawned, and you started attacking it with your fishing pole?

i wasn't in talking island at those times, though i do remember the reds on wind mill hill.

As much as I sometimes bad mouth NC Soft for their Bot issue you can't fault Lineage 2. I have to say that it was the memories of those times on Talking Island and many others that brought me back after being gone three years.

I remember feeling for the longest time how I missed my two Alts and regarded their memory with a sweet fondness and a sad forlorness as if they were real people who had passed away and all I had left of them were memories.

That was until I logged back in.

when you actually had to run all the way to Cruma Tower from Dion, no porting to it.

when you could go to Cruma Tower and there would be at least 2 groups worth of people in the lobby forming groups to xp.

when it took almost a full party to help any dorf get to the chest on the 2nd floor in CT for class quest.

i miss CT's glory days

I am, to this day, forever greatfull to those 9 ppl who slaughtered the mobs between my sorry lil dwarf and the chest, not only once, but twice.

Thank you CT2 party that took pity on my lil dwarf.

The youngsters today have it too easy... with a bit of cautious manouvering they wont even get aggro on the way to the chest, and with 3 mil in their pocket they dont even have to.

This game is getting too easy lol.

No CP Pots, no buff scrolls, PP could sit outside of Dragon Valley and make 20k per buff round and they were gods if you got one to go out and party with them.

Remember the origional Catas and Festivals and the first time an ally locked up the dawn / dusk and the botters were so mad that whole week....

far enough back, there was no cp at all, i don't think ghp was easy to come by if it existed at all.

when leveling a wolf actually took effort, and...
warlocks were best at it. when striders were sought after.

when they had those mini bosses all around including 2 on talking island...

trying to complete the mark of the duelist class change quest...
without newbie buffs.

It's not totally easy, but it has been getting much easier as the updates go on. Compare getting to 1-76 now with that of 2-3 years ago.
