Question Fortress Battle

Hello To my knowledge it is possible to defend a fortress without registering your clan and make the attacking clan loose xp when they die. Is this true? And if so, should this be changed in some way? Suggestions?

Cool Re: Fortress Battle

No. It's not true. The only players that will lose EXP is your clan because you're not registered to join the battle. The attackers lose nothing as long as they're in the siege zone.

Ok, same thing for castle battles? Ah so you have 2 be in siege zone? what if they wait for you outside the siege zone and kill you there as you resurrect in town?

Yup. Applies to castles sieges also. If you're registered to a certain castle, then you have to be inside that castle's siege zone. If you're in the general area or at another castle, you will then lose EXP.

there is a big area between some castles/fortress and the town...this is not all siege area... one could go and kill you there... or the whole town is siege area, can't be right?

There is a non-siegefield area between the town and the castle where deaths lose exp. Giran and Oren are good examples (though not the only ones). Between leaving town and arriving at the siege field you have a minute or two where you could be PKed as though it were a weekday and you were out hunting.

In fact, some enemy toons may wait until you step out of town then attack you, running back into the safe zone if it looks like they might lose. Cowardly, but not uncommon.

Edit: You will get a message when you enter the siege field (or leave it) so you know when your death is exp safe.

This is why high levels don't want 2 participate in castle or fortress.... they tell me I wont bring my main, because castle battle is not worth the time it needs to get back the xp.

To me it sounded strange, but now I get what they mean...well u know they should solve this I guess Perhaps with teleports into siege zones?

Don't leave town alone. If your enemy wants to play that petty game, why not bring the pain. They'll also lose EXP outside of siege zones even if they're registered for the siege. I like this change. Because before the change, everyone lost EXP during sieges. Even if we were registered and inside the designated zones.

Red face Re: Fortress Battle

first of all, yes right, well if u are member of a smaller clan, forget about it... you all die and you all loose xp

second of all, like I said, people refuse to take the toons that give the most hurt because a level 79 toon takes daysss to get back the xp

Wrong

If you own a fortress and somebody sieges it you are automatically signed up to defend it. Like a castle.

The only people that loose exp are attackers that aren't registered for the siege.

Wrong.

Read the OP.

He is talking about defending a fort without being signed, and trying to -4% the attackers.

GF champ.

The only people defending a fort are the people that own it, everybody else attacks it whether they are signed or not.

Why are you trying to teach me game mechanics, I havent asked you for it. I know how it works. The OP didnt.

If anything explain it to him, not me.

And theoretically you could help someone defend it from hostile takeover without being signed.

But they wont be able to -4% anyone...
