I just installed Windows 7 onto my desktop yesterday. But I can't seem to run Lineage2. I'm pretty sure I've installed the latest Video Card update and DirectX 10. I get the following error msg.
2010.7.5 10:22:53 OS : Windows Vista 6.1 (Build: 7600) CPU : GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz @ 2334 MHz 4095MB RAM Video : ATI Radeon HD 4550 (29) PosCode : LS1(152) 0:0:0 4/0 [487] Failed to find object 'Class NWindow.ConsoleWnd' History: UObject::SafeLoadError <- UObject::StaticLoadClass <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine It says Windows vista 6.1 but I have Windows 7 up and running. Anyone had this experience?

I can't get Lineage II to run at all.
I'm running Win 7 64-bit, running the game as Administrator. I have the latest driver suite from ATI, and my DX is up to date. The game also isn't reporting memory correctly, as I have 12GB RAM (which Win 7 correctly shows) but the game shows only 4GB. I've tried deleting option.ini, but it doesn't help. The game launches, goes to a black screen, I see the cursor, and then it crashes with the same message every time: 2010.8.1 14:43:17 OS : Windows Vista 6.1 (Build: 7600) CPU : GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz @ 2807 MHz 4095MB RAM Video : ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series (1036) PosCode : LS1(152) 0:0:0 8/0 [315] Error setting display mode: CreateDevice failed (D3DERR_DEVICELOST). Please delete your Option.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game. History: UD3DRenderDevice::UnSetRes <- CreateDevice <- UD3DRenderDevice::SetRes <- HandleBigChange <- UD3DRenderDevice::Lock <- UViewport::Lock <- UWindowsViewport::Lock <- UGameEngine: raw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoopIt's kind of ridiculous that a game this popular, that's been around for this long won't even launch when I don't have any other games that give me any trouble...even others from NCSoft. OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU : GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz @ 2669 MHz 1023MB RAM Video : ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series (29) PosCode : LS1(148) 0:0:0 4/0 [402] General protection fault! History: L2ParamStack::Top <- NSystemMessageManager::EndSystemMessageParam <- NConsoleWnd::EndSystemMessageParam <- NConsoleWnd::ConfirmDlg <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine I'm getting this error on Windows 7 64bit. Just did a fresh download of it (trying to do the trial version), installed it, updated it, and bam. The screen goes black I see a big fat cursor (like the res is at some extremely low res) and then it just sits there until a force shutdown. Edited the .ini file to switch it from 800x600 (default) to mine and still no luck. |

Try as following, might help:
a) right-click on L2 link and click on "Run as Administrator" otherwise b) disable Aero desktop theme otherwise c) click on Check Files in the L2 Loader window and let it go all the way otherwise d) uninstall video drivers / restart PC in safe mode / restart PC in normal mode / restart PC in safe mode / install drivers / restart in normal mode This last one helped me with my nVidia drivers issues as it seems at times they dont install properly, in normal mode....at least for me. ATI might have the same problem with Win7. otherwise e) check for advanced graphics options in the catalyst control center, like ambient occlusion or LOD or clamping and turn them off. GL! ^^
