Sitting at "You Are Currently Logging In.."

Hi all,

I'm sure this has been posted to death, but I really need to ask, are there people who are actually playing the game?

I downloaded Lineage 2 on Thursday and have had nothing but problems with this game. I play Guild Wars and Aion, using the same NC Soft launcher with no problems, yet with Lineage 2 I get nothing but Gameguard errors, which seems to have resolved themselves, and now I am not able to log in.

The game sits at the "You are currently logging in" screen forever. I could let it sit there all day and I never get in. Obviously we can go through the 'reset modem, disable firewall' etc troubleshooting but I believe I have everything set properly.

Is there just that many people playing? Are the servers down? I keep checking the Announcements forum many times a day but it doesn't seem like the mods are posting anything at all.

Is there anyone who could share a little light on this?

redownload the new ncsoft launcher and try to update, there was a major change a couple days ago
however with free the server traffic is mental, i can not get past server select

Well it worked for me when i deleted my host file which is located in the sys32 drivers etc folder..

Something that worked for me was, disabling "Peer Block" if you have that installed on your computer. Peer Block also gave me problems connecting to Star Wars: The Old Republic, hopefully this helped someone as it took me hours to figure out something as simple as this.
