Default Clan war system

looks like the new way to remove competition before it even starts is to war any clan that has everyone just trying to lvl.

from my understanding,there is no more declining clan war or even surrendering.

seriously?

so far the clan with the most awakened characters is the fatnecktigers, apparently some of their members think they own the server and they dont want anyone trying to lvl up as well,so they declare clan war on clans trying to lvl up just to stop them in their tracks..

the only way to bypass it is by leaving clan until war ends or what ever the case may be.

i understand NCsoft wants us to pvp and all,but they did'nt think about awakened classes forcing non awakened to combat.

and if anyone thinks a non awakened class can beat an awakened,be my guest.

i hear 3 awakened took down 3 lvl 76+ parties on their own..

I stopped playing all together i use it as a chat room now I'm waiting for my beta invite at www.shadowbaneemulator.com and looking forward to www.fallenthrones.com looks sweet no WOW ****

Ye but keep in mind you can declare wars to other clans and they cant do anything about it.

I agree that its foolish you cant choose if you are at war. All this does is cater to higher lvled players griefing lower levels.

No what this does now is prevent a clan from hiding from thier poor actions behind not returning war and forcing them to suffer consequences. The war only lasts a set time and there is a winner. So if you are so carebear you can not handle that I suggest a more fluffy mmo or perhaps a single player game......

Ive seen clans with 150 active ppl declare war on clans with 30 active ppl because one time one dude ksed one mob.
My clan was at war with 2 100+ active player clans, i think one had 150+ and we are 10-15 active ppl on the good days when we all log in.
Ive only mainly seen this new waring system as a griefing tool for very large clans to flex their e-muscles and feel good about themselves when they can bring one full party to kill in solo areas.
On the other hand ive also seen most of other big clans detag to xp and surrender after 7 days just to declare war on those other small clans they know they can beat, or thats what they think.
At least make it so that if you lose a war there is some sort of repercusion and is not just that you lost.
Not to mention most ppl dont even know how the new waring system works and get upset when you kill them once their clan has declared war on you and you have no choice but to go into war.
3 parties of 76 cant even kill 1 decently geared awakened toon.

The truth is that new war system is not a tool for forcing ppl to take responsibility for their actions, it's just a tool for strong clans to abuse weaker clans, plain and simple. I fail to see the logic behind the idea, that every high lvl clan full of awakened chars can just declare war on, let's say every new 6x-7x clan with 1/3 of the members and the second clan has no choice whatsoever just to accept and be ganked. (it is NOT pvp when 6x-7x chars are attacked by awakened party)
This system assumes that ppl are fair and declare war because they were wronged in some way. Well...word to the wise: ppl are generally jerks and declare war because they have that button.
As it is now, it simply does not pay to be in any clan because there will come a moment when some muscle will declare war on you and you can do nothing about it just lay down and be killed constantly. As I saw it L2 was about grouping and clans. Now it just makes no sense.

I see no reason for crying.
Our clan's No. 2 power on the server, all 5 slots are occupied.
We can not invite to the war weaker clans.

I don't see the problem in how the wars start, only in their low duration. I mean, three weeks? That's barely a battle. A proper war should last a year or longer.

In any case, learn to live with it. This is a PvP game; you win some, you lose some, but most of all - you enjoy the fight. If you're serious about it, a war won't really slow you down as much (and certainly won't stop you), but might just be the thing you need for your clan to grow together.

If your clan dont want to be involved in clan wars you can make next steps:
1)create 6-10 alternative 5 level clans with with 15+ 2nd/3rd chars of you or your friends/clanmates
2)make clan war with them and your 5 war slots will be busy by your alternative clans for 21 day
or you can accept war and declare defeat in 1 week to avoid war for 3 weeks with this clan:
- A clan can declare defeat to the opposing clan one week after the clan war starts.
- A clan cannot declare war on a clan to which it has declared defeat within the last three weeks (21 days), and neither can war be declared upon it by the opposing clan.

You dont get any rewards if your clan win clan war and you dont get any penalty if you lose clan war

Yeah, I am sure the French would have voted for the decline war option... but in war there is no option to abstain from being beat down.

The problem is the players. The system will always have flaws...
There are people that want to have strong enemies and unfortunately there also people that will do anything to prevent their enemies from growing strong.
This game can not be fair since its a farming game. The more you farm the stronger you are. Of course the more efficient you farm the stronger you are too.
I suggest you RTS games if you want fair fights.

Actually, my two favoured RTS series (Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron) don't have fair fights by design either. The second one, for example, is a game where you can chose any country existing in 1936 and play it through WWII ... including power houses like Nationalsocialistic (I can't believe the proper historical term is censored here, WTF?) Germany, Soviet Union and the USA - but also Tannu Tuva, Luxembourg and Liberia.

RTS aren't balanced in single player. no game is balanced in single player.

You misunderstood.

You can play any of those countries in multiplayer. Want to see how well you can hold up as Belgium against Germany in 1940, both player-controlled? Go ahead. But prepare to be mercilessly crushed.

Our clan is destroyed, we got banged my clan wich is 1/2 awakend, in a NEW server wich opend in dec 1 we haveno chance to lvl up because 5min when we go out of town we got ganked by an awakend class, this is fair? Here is only 3ppl in clan wich is 76+... how do you suggest to do something? how tolvl up for ppl who are not event 70+ our allclan all ppl online tryed to force them, our small forse of 66-78 ppl 2 parties were going for dayly quest, couse there is no other way to do it, and all got ganked by one iss enchanter all 20ppl... we had fun playing it was a nice community we were having fun.. but now clan is dissampled all gone and left the game couse of this nice system. Good luck fighting awakens with 70-76 we are having fun elswere..

Academy is exempt from wars.
Academy goes to 75 (actually, until the third class change, so you can push it even further).
The war goes on for one week, then you have at least three weeks of pause.
Learn to play.
