Grace Period for Failed Transfers

All characters that have failed their server transfer attempts since January 18, 2012, will be granted a grace period and final opportunity to successfully transfer, during the maintenance on February 15, 2012. There is no need to re-queue to sign-up for this transfer—all characters that have failed in the previously scheduled Free Magmeld Transfers are automatically signed up for this process that will take place during the next maintenance period.

Please be sure to prepare your character for transfer correctly. The transfer eligibility requirements are clearly listed, and it is a player’s responsibility to be properly prepared for the transfer. This is the final transfer process from Chronos and Naia to Magmeld; characters that fail the February 15 transfers will not be processed again.

If you have changed your mind about transferring and you wish to stay on Chronos or Naia, simply alter your character so that the eligibility is not met: for example, join a clan, or send mail to an alt character and leave it in the mail system during the February 15 maintenance.

For your information, the top 3 most common reasons that a character transfer fails are:

1. The character was in a clan.
2. The character has items in the mail system, either in their mailbox or being sent by them.
3. The Magmeld placeholder character was level 2 or higher.

To be eligible to transfer, your character must meet the following requirements on the day of the maintenance:

• Your character must not be in a clan/alliance.
• Empty your mailbox and Auction House. The transfer cannot happen if any items associated with you are still connected directly to the server's economy. Be sure to cancel all auctions and out-going mail, collect all items and payments from your mailbox, and to not create or send more until the transfer is complete.
• Your character may not be a Hero at the time of the transfer.
• The placeholder character that you created on Magmeld must remain at level 1-- do not play or level up that character. This is the same character you specified in your transfer application.

Also, do items in Dimensional Merchant freight count? Some of them can be received by any toon on the account.

I would gladly transfer a toon from Naia to Magmeld but I can't even login to Naia to prepare my char for the transfer... seriously it's a shame. I don't want to log in every day early in the morning and let my computer on 24/7 just to be able to get a "spot" on the server... can something be done about it at last?

I posted a clarification about this, it's regarding mail with items connect to you, like incoming mail from the Auction House for your auctions. We do not foresee any way for transfers to be griefed by other players.

Dimensional items are connect to the server-account association, and not a server-character association, so they should not be in any way related to transfer eligibility. Keep in mind that any items on one server's Dimensional Merchant may not be on the other server's Dimensional Merchant.

We are working on addressing the server capacity/login issue separately.

A friend failed the transfer cuz an idiot send him a mail with 1 potion. So this is nice. But i have a question:

My friend checked transfer page and it does not says "waiting list" or anything like that. Is suppose to say it? or if he failed he is going to transfer without being in the "waiting list"?

Regarding the potion-mail making the transfer fail, did that get confirmed by the support team or is it an assumption?

Regarding the 'waiting list:' I'm not sure what you are asking. The Magmeld page was not meant to mention a waiting list. This grace period was made because we want to give players a second chance to properly prepare their character for transfer and successfully transfer to the new server to join their friends. Anyone that failed since the transfers started has been put on a sort of 'failed transfer' list; players do not need to do anything other than be prepared for the transfer during the next maintenance.

Is a fact cuz no friends, no clan, no AH and we checked he was in the waiting list that time, but when we all got transfered and he not we checked and a random sended him a mail with a potion.

But anyways how we can check that he is in the fail list?

Seriously now, why are you wasting time with this useless transfers?
Are you doing this for like 3-4 weeks and the population on Naia didn't dropped, but on the contrary, it increased.
I see no actual results from this campaign and probably the ones who did signup for this made fun of you, transferring low lvl alt toons.

You know what it would help? Another EU server.
If this is against the policy or agreement you signed with Innova, then open it like it was an NA server and then make a poll about the server time changing.
You can clearly see that the timezone is starting to be more close to GMT+0, so this is proof enough that there are lots of EU and BR players.

To find out for sure what caused your friend to fail the transfer attempt, the friend needs to contact support. Doing this will also help them be sure they're correctly prepared for the grace period transfer batch next Wednesday, should they still want to transfer.

If the disband is before the transfers yes. (i mean in the 5 hours maintenance, maybe they do all those things first and then the transfers).

I really hope your right...i sent the ncsoft team an email 3 days ago but have not heard from them yet...lazy peoples :0
