Dwarf Othell

jw how many of you continued on with ur FS after the update and awakened to Othell. also how you like it, meaning forget this and moved on or still enjoy your dwarf. I decided to continue on to Othell but still a couple lvl's left to go.

I, for one, knew beforehand that a FS would get me to an othell Rogue and didnt mind at all. There is a little clash on how to manage the character (since when i was a FS, you used to be a jack of all trades, master of none, so had several bars to change from blunt skills to dagger or to pole, in order to adapt to the situation at hand). I also thought that FS should go the Tyrr Warrior path (more than the dagger one). But i dont regret it one bit, you still keep your "spoil" skill (keeping in mind that if the spoil doesnt land, it doesnt give you a message, but if it does and the spoil activates, you get your item without the need for sweeping).

More though, the playstyle changes a lot: Now you have to adapt to a dagger playstyle (dont get on the front attack, go around the side and pick off mages/healers and try to keep away from the main aggro), but if you can get used to it, its no biggie.

update .. now 85 1/2 *FS awakened to *Othell. *
1. *no longer apprehensive, still very much enjoy playing my Dwarf.
2. *Dual daggers are sweet ( not a tank, sometimes DD, mostly feel like support in a group )
3. *R grade pole -- still AOE like crazy
4. *Got my R Grade blunt ( just in case I need it )
5. *?? *Still haven't figured out if Plunder sux or not. *it has only landed a few times and got nada.
6. *Working on learning what PVP means to a Dwarf Othell.

Curious about what use a Dwarven Rogue has for a Blunt?

They keep some blunt skills (Armor Crush) and pole skills (earthquake) until 87-88, so it helps to have them if you can multitask or something.

Personally, i dont have any blunt or pole though, since i found that it was a waste of space and then, if i couldnt get used to the dagger playstyle, i should've chosen another class instead of clinging to previous skills.
