September 5, 2012 Patch Notes

*Update* The following changes have been removed from the game with a rollback emergency maintenance on September 5, 2012.



The following unexpected changes to the game were implemented with the server maintenance of September 5, 2012:

Raiding

• The field raid system for levels 1 through 84 has been renovated.
  • The respawn time for field raid bosses has decreased by half, from an average of 36 hours (24 hours at random) to an average of 18 hours (12 hours at random).
  • The stats for the field raid bosses have been altered so that they can be defeated by one party of a matching level.
  • After slaying a raid boss, you now receive a buff that increases XP and SP gain by 10% for 1 hour.
  • When hunting a raid boss, you can still gain high XP and SP if you participate with high contribution as an individual or as a party member, even if you're not in the main party.
  • XP and SP rewards and buffs are received if you are within a 5-level range of the boss' level.

Quests

• 5 New daily quests encouraging raids will be added for grades D, C, B, A, and S, starting at level 20.

Wynn Summoner

• The maximum number of servitors that a Wynn Summoner can summon by level has been changed as follows:
  • Character level 85: (before) 3 (now) 2
  • Character level 90: (before) 3 (now) 2
  • Character level 95: (before) 4 (now) 2
  • Character level 99: (before) 4 (now) 2
• Points per servitor and available summon points are being adjusted to alter the maximum number of servitors.
• Available summon points for levels 1 through 4 of Superior Summon Mastery have all been changed to 4.
• 2 points each are consumed for summoning the Cougar, Bear, and Soul Reaper.
• Servitor P. Atk., P. Def., M. Atk., M. Def., and HP stats have been significantly increased.

Olympiad

• The run time for Olympiad has changed as follows:
  • (old) 18:00 to 24:00 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (server time)
  • (new) 21:00 to 24:00 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (server time)
• Olympiad rewards have changed as follows:
  • Level 95 weapons and armor, and R-Grade enchant scrolls have been added to the list of purchasable items.
  • The amount of Adena, tokens, and reputation points needed for purchase has been decreased.

Ceremony of Chaos

• The run time for Ceremony of Chaos has changed as follows:
  • (old) 20:00 to 24:00 every day (server time)
  • (new) 19:00 to 23:00 every day (server time)

The skill descriptions need to be changed, they still have the old ones. It is inexcusable that the skills work so differently from the in game descriptions.

About Wynn : Those feature are not even announced in Korea, they are just in project for the futur wynn summon changes and actually discussed (it's only about the division of class and have been posted yesterday on official L2 Korea website). Do you seriously think that having 2 summons with 21k matk is the same than 3 summons with 16k matk ?
Please, don't act like you think that it's just something you didn't saw, everything is messed up and don't expect every summoner will accept that you suddenly decided in 3h maintenance that you will lower ammount of summons while it's not even the case in Korea.

Exactly, WTF are you doing? Why always nerfing wynns? Why wont you look at another class, like archer, who's hitting 20k+? maybe will be better if you delete wynn summoners?

I think that if this had been announced on Korea patch note that would have been discussed a lot on our boards since a long time, but nobody was aware about thoses changes in Korea.

Plus as said Yuale, the summon number diminusion is only in discussion as part of futur class division update in Korea...


Sace i think you should double check with NCKR if they didn't sent you the wrong patch note instead of assuming all this is right...

That is not true, and please do not attempt to spread false rumors such as this. It was not decided by NCsoft West to implement any such changes. Currently we are discussing the matter with our superiors and we strive to understand what happened and why, and determine what steps follow. This is an upsetting experience for both players and staff, but please remain patient while we continue to look into this. We will post again once we have updates to share.

Well only reason to keep lvling the superior summon mastery skill would prolly be the "when you recieve damage, your servitors battle skills are increased" part..... and hope lvling it, will increase that buff

The patch notes posted above are all that we have at the moment but QA is rushing to test and learn more. Once we have a quest list I will update oyu.

As these changes were not expected some localization work is indeed now out of date. This matter is one of the things we are discussing so that it can be rectified.
